"Today like Yesterday" feature film

WHAT DO WE WANT TO DO?

We want to make a film “Today like yesterday”, with the pupils from the Actors Worshop in Gijón with their teacher, Konchi Rodríguez as the director and with a script made up by different improvisation exercises.

PLOT

A family must stay closed at home for a night due to an outer situation which will make them face much more than an uncomfortable situation. Curiously, this same situation happened to another family…50 years ago.

Two families, 16 characters, the same conflict… ¿one solution? Our characters have not much time to solve something that has nothing to do with eras: human feelings

DIRECTOR’S COMMENTS

This film starts in the Actors Workshop in Gijón, in November 2013. This year, our program was focused on the 60’s and American independent cinema. If there’s a referent for me in the way of making films this is John Cassavettes.

I thought about making an exercise that this director also made with his pupils. He made his first film with his pupils giving them base characters they should develop…After a while, “Shadows” was born.

Thinking about this, I started to write a possible script and in November I started to built the chatacters. We started the improvisation exercises and the creative process began. Our goal was to find just a place and a day to tell the story where the characters could grow, just like in the theatre. That’s how “TODAY LIKE YESTERDAY” was born.

WHY DO WE NEED MONEY?

Your money will go directly into the film, to help with the basic expenses: the equipment, the places, different materials, catering,…Also to the post-production and final distribution.

ABOUT PRESENTS

Most of the presents do not repite themselves, so you can collaborate as many times as you want to earn the prizes you like most. You’ll receive a mail for each option you stand by.

Prizes are sent 3 weeks after getting our goal in Verkami, maximum. Those prizes which have to do with the shooting (posters, visits,…) will be set a month before the shooting, so you can organize your time.

CALENDARY

The shooting is set in the las fifteen days of July and the first fifteen days of August; . postproduction is scheduled to take place during the months of September, October and November 2014

REWARDS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Different rewards will first give a notice to the email of the person who provides the money, taking your data correctly. Thanks in social networks will be made public once the campaign ends crodwfunfing. we´ll send information personally to each person with specific indications. The dates of the premiere it´ll be at end of year. Formerly send tickets, passes, VIPs, etc. .. t-shirts, posters, and several poster will be sent during the month of September, DVDs and CDs when the film is edited at the end of the year.
