This campaign aims to finance part of the recording Paintings by the jazz group Xavier Dotras TRIO
The repertoire of the CD consists of original compositions written specially for the formation of the trio (piano, bass and drums ) . The work has a central theme: The paintings . The composer and pianist of the group, Xavier Dotras, has chosen some painters like Cezanne , Turner , Matisse, Kokoschka , Picasso and Marc Chagall for his inspiration and for developing the project.
Recording is scheduled for July 2014 and the CD will hopefully be finished in September-October.
This work will be the 6th CD by Xavier Dotras TRIO , formation that has already worked together for the past 10 years and has performed concerts in Catalonia , and Europe (UK, France , Spain , Holland, Italy , Germany , Poland and Romania) and has participated in important festivals and programs such as the MIDEM Cannes, Jazz Festival in Rome or Bath Music Festival ( UK ) .
The band is formed by :
Xavier Dotras (piano )
César Martínez (drums)
Toni Pujol ( bass)
Just as in other occasions, on the CD’s "Vincent" , "Preludes" and "La Maison Jaune", the singer Carme Canela will be featured in this work.

Hi Karen! Yes, our CD is already released! If you want I can post it to you. I would need your address in Australia (Adelaida?). Anyway, I have been writing with Katie (by facebook) and she told me that in October you and she will come to Barcelona a couple of days. If you can wait, I would give the CD then. But, if you prefer, no problem, I can send you the CD. I would send the Katies' CD also.
