CARDINAL - JHON DOE's CASE- Transmedia project

As you all know, producing music and videos in a professional-level costs big money, a lot more if the project is as ambitious as the present one.

The old record-label system is dead, and in the strange case of getting a record deal, it is a sentence for the economy of the band. They just loan a certain amount of money to produce an album, which is currently almost impossible to return with the record sales, so any income is tied to royalty payments, preventing that money to be used by the band to produce new material, touring, etc..

And then came the crowdfunding: a small contribution can help your favorite bands, consolidated or emerging, to make their project without the slavery that involves a record deal.

There are no intermediaries, just you and us. Any contribution is rewarded.

-¿WHY ONLY 1500€ IF WE ALL KNOW THAT RECORDING THOSE SONGS AND VIDEOS COST, BEING OPTIMISTIC, 5 TIMES THAT AMOUNT?

Good question. Throughout the years we got a good amount of equipment and materials to produce music professionally in our home studios, so the songs will be completely self-produced with the invaluable professional help of our sound technicians, Diego and Daniel Ballestero, singer and guitarist. We also have the great fortune of having friends who will help us with the production of video clips markedly reducing their cost.

-THEN, IF YOU GOT ALL OF THAT, WHY DO YOU ASK FOR MONEY?

As we said, we'll save a lot of money in the recording and editing process doing it ourselves, but we think the mixing and mastering should be done by another professional, with fresh ears and ideas, to get a better result.

As for the videos, the intellectual and technical section is covered based on favors, but we still need a small amount of money to cover salaries of actors, expenses of personnel involved, equipment, etc.

We also need some money to pay the illustrator who will be painting our ideas.

- HOW DO I KNOW THAT YOU WONT SPEND MY MONEY ON DRUGS OR MEDITERRANEAN CRUISES?

Music is our drug, we are willing to share with you all the ideas that haunt our heads. We take transparency very seriously and will keep you informed at all times of what is happening with the project through our social networks and on this page. You will also receive the rewards according to the schedule.

- DESTINATION OF YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS:

• Mixing and mastering - 100€ x 5 songs = 500 €

• Videoclips - 200 € x 3 = 600 €

• Artwork / illustrator - 300 €

• Verkami and credit card fares - 100€

TOTAL: 1500 €

If you pay by credit card the fee is lower than using Paypal and the greater the net amount that we receive.

If we overcome the fixed amount, the income will go for paying (according to human rights) all project collaborators first. The rest will go to cover the costs of touring and live performances of the band if possible.

- REWARDS SCHEDULE:

The project covers the whole year 2014, culminating with a concert / live presentation on Friday 19th of December in "Sala El Grito" (Fuenlabrada - Madrid) .

We are blindly confident to reach the target, so we are currently immersed in the pre-production of the tracks and videoclips, and once the 40 days period of crowdfunding is finished, we will start with the production itself.

The three main songs will be published individually, accompanied by its corresponding videoclip as singles.

Backers will receive them in pre-release in digital download format, following this schedule:

June - Track 1

September - Track 2

November - Track 3

December - Full EP + Bonus tracks (depending on the pledges)

At the concert/presentation in December in Madrid, the backers who supported us with the highest pledge will receive their reward in physical format. We don't ship them.
