DVD edition of the film 'A film about Kids and Music'.

Thank you so much for helping us to achieve the goal so quickly. We are excited and very happy.

But the project does not end here! We wanna continue the Verkami crowdfunding to make the DVD edition better and to increase the number of copies, and for growing this great family of people who believe and gives sense to the Sant Andreu Jazz Band project.

The film industry is strange and unpredictable. After having made a film with such a warm reception as the one given to A film about Kids and music, we still need financial support from all those who are looking forward to watching and having it. In order to issue a DVD edition

Kids and music has been possible thanks to a private donation that allowed to produce it and pay the filming costs . But much of the post-production was carried out through a system of cooperative work, that is, the production and post-production team has accepted to work without being paid in exchange for becoming the film producers.

During last year’s exhibitions, Kids and music has travelled all around the world, exporting over this fantastic story everywhere and generating income as much as from the box office as from the selling of television rights. All the profits have been used to distribute and to promote its presence at festivals, and in particular, to pay the musical intellectual property rights to the music publishing companies, who own the songs appearing in the film.

So, although hard to believe, none of the post-production team members have been paid for his work.

With this action, we, therefore ,intend to pay the cost of publishing an edition of 2,000 low-cost DVDs and 500 DVD special edition DVD and thus be able to generate some income so that the divinoconcepto team can keep dreaming and making new good movies..

SYNOPSIS

A Film About Kids and Music is a documentary about St. Andreu Jazz Band. The young Orchestra, conducted by Joan Chamorro, brings together children between 6 and 18 years on a repertoire of jazz classics that fill the largest halls in the country.

The film is a journey guided by the conductor of the orchestra that dives into his teaching method, as unique as the results coming from it. A story that will make us quiver with the on stage talent of these kids and it will thrill us with all the feelings they have the capacity to arouse.

During this journey the kids were accompanied by the North American musicians Jesse Davis, Terell Stafford and Wycliffe Gordon, admired by every jazz lover and who foster the musical spirit of early artistic careers as Elsa’s, who at the early age of 6 plays the trumpet like an angel.

THE FILM AWARDS

Kids and music between 2013 and 2014 has been to 36 festivals from all over the world and has been awarded by 14 prizes. A dream come true.

WHAT WILL WE DO WITH YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS?

We will use your contributions to pay the musical intellectual property rights and the DVD edition of' A film about kids and music. We would like to publish 500 special edition DVDs for the band fans and the Verkami patrons and make 2.000 “low-cost” copies.

SCHEDULE

In case we get the funding for the DVD, the rewards will be awarded during the month after the end of the Verkami campaign, with the exception of the following:

• CD/DVD Jazzing vol. 4 i 5, will be sent when the publishing is finished, scheduled for the end of this year.

• Joan Chamorro MASTER CLASS must be agreed upon agenda, during 2014.

• Dinner with Joan Chamorro and the director of the film .

• SJB PRIVATE CONCERT must be agreed upon agenda, during 2014.
