The Gospel Viu Choir: NON STOP GOSPEL

The Gospel Viu Choir (TGV) is a Gospel Group with 90 singers accompanied by five musicians, who have an excellent international career, and a Freestyle Dancer. We try to have our own style, noticeable for the voice and choral technique, as well as, for intense and strong rhythms. We want to take a step forward without forgetting the traditional themes by using influence from contemporary Gospel and funky mixed with risky but powerful performances.

We started in 2004 and our director is the musician and compositor Moisès Sala, who is constantly looking for the genre’s innovation plus the improvement and evolution from the classic Gospel to a current and more modern style.

After the Marchin’To Freedom CD’s edition (2004), The Gospel X-Perience in Symphony’s double CD-DVD (2008) with the collaboration of the Orquestra Filharmònica of Catalunya-Orquestra de Cambra of l’Empordà and the CD “Poema als Voluntaris” (2012) which was published by La Generalitat de Catalunya and L’Obra Social de la Caixa, we want to present a new project: the recording of the show NON STOP GOSPEL, modern gospel, bold melodies, convincing harmonies as well as the most intensive rhythm with the whole energy and the vocal strength of The Gospel Viu Choir.

THE REASON FOR THIS CAMPAIGN

Although it is an amateur project, we look for the superior quality in our performances. These values are the ones we wish to reflect in our recording work, despite the expensive economic cost.

For these reasons, we need your help to keep working with excitement in order to provide energy and strength to our music and solidarity project with your confidence and esteem.

With all of you we want to be more and better.

All the contributions will exclusively and entirely be destined to the recording, production and edition of the new Non Stop Gospel’s CD.

CALENDAR

The recording process will be made during October and November of this year and after the edition and postproduction’s works will be finished, the Project will be ready for the first trimester of 2014.

THE GOSPEL VIU CHOIR

The choir has performed on well-known stages such as the Festival Internacional of La Porta Ferrada, Gran Teatre del Liceu, l’Auditori of Barcelona, Palau de la Música Catalana, Auditori-Palau de Congressos of Girona, Palau de Congressos of Barcelona, Auditori August of Tarragona, L’Atlàntida of Vic, Kursaal of Manresa, Gales Líriques of Menorca, Festival Internacional de Música of Cambrils, Festival Internacional de Música of Cadaqués, Black Music Festival... We have shared the line-up with important artists from the international outlook as Sharrie Williams & The Wiseguys, The Kingdom Choir, Natalie Cole, Jorge Drexler, Lluís Llach and Joaquin Sabina, among others.

Exclusively, we have shared the stage with the Joyful Gospel Singers of New Orleans, Northern Kentucky Brotherhood Singers, Soweto Gospel Choir and the legendary Golden Gate Quartet with their leader Clyde Wright.

On the 5th of November of 2013 TGVCHOIR we aim the exciting goal, the real challenge, that we face with great illusion and excitement, by bringing the Gospel to the Teatre Nacional of Catalunya for the first time.

The Gospel Viu Choir has always been involved with solidarity. Since 2006 we have been promoting our Project of solidarity action for the world childhood’s benefit, Gospel Without Borders® to help all the NGO’s, Foundations and non-profit Associations, whose work and effort have children as their objective.
