-WALKING CITY-

CARMELO SEGURA COMPANHIA is an emerging Contemporary Dance Theatre fusion formed by eight artists.

On our first choreographic project we have been given an artistic residency sponsored by CENTRO DE DANZA CANAL. We also have the support of Carlos López, producer/distributor and programming director at the 'Teatro Nuevo Apolo' in Madrid, who granted us the space so the show could be filmed and consequently distributed.

THE PROJECT.

Walking City talks, criticises and makes fun of the rat-race in which we live in the big cities, we journey through every day life stopping to contemplate different characters and situations. Inviting the audience to reflect on their own reality.

Contemporary Dance is the main discipline in the company, however it is combined with Theatre, Contemporary Circus, live Lyrical Singing and audiovisuals.

All funding will be used to cover all necessary costs to produce and distribute the show.

CALENDAR

We propose opening the show in September 2013, relying on the availability of the interested Theatres. The rewards will be delivered as from September before and after the opening of the show.
