1 MAP FOR 2 is a documentary about the extraordinary motorcycle worldtour by Tartarini and Monetti in 1957.
A trip through five continents, 35 countries and 4 revolutions. The story of the world of the past through two guys with two motorcycles, a 16mm camera and a pocket map.
DOCUMENTARY - 70 minutes for cinema and DVD
It was the first time that a Motorcycle Company organized an imposing operation, with so little resources and support. An unbelievable enterprise for that time, if we consider the way of travelling, the logistic and technological supports we have today.
From Europe to Middle and Far East, from the boundless Australian deserts to New Zealand, from the Amazonian forests to the peaks of the Andes and the African Sahara, a motorcycle world tour lasted one year between 1957 and 1958.
With the equipment provided for the trip, Tartarini and Monetti had also a Bolex
Paillard 16 mm movie camera and a Rolleiflex camera. Besides the numerous pictures, they shot approximately 1 hour and half of footage, an important documentation and an advertising tool for the brand Ducati.
Nowadays it represents a precious document about the territories, the populations and their ways of living in the countries Tartarini and Monetti crossed, but also a fundamental resource for the realization of the documentary.
At the end of the journey each of them has taken different paths, but the friendship and the bond given by this extraordinary experience have remained strong. They also shared their strong willingness to tell everybody their story and the dream - also today that they are almost 80 years old - to do it again and to ride again the 2 legendary motorbikes Ducati 175 cc.

We have already shooted everything but we still need help to edit the whole documentary for cinema, to make the post production works such as mixing the music/audio and the color correction for video. We also want to translate the dialog list in three different languages (English, Spanish, French) and master the DVD with subtitles.
Only if we reach the goal the documentary will see the light!

In the grand pattern of things you'll receive a B+ just for hard work. Where you actually lost everybody was first on all the details. As it is said, details make or break the argument.. Hola, el documental es in italian y esta subtitulado en espanol. Es un DVD con subtítulos en Inglés también.
