Who are we?
This project was born from the desire to tell a story that moves and represents us through the short film format. A work conceived from narrative, image, and emotion, carefully crafted in every detail to truly connect with the viewer.
Behind it is a creative team from Barcelona with training in the audiovisual field, united by the same artistic vision and the will to take this story beyond a simple academic exercise, turning it into a short film with its own identity.
What is Fragmentos?
Our project is a psychological thriller short film that uses time loops as a narrative engine to show how the mind can become our own enemy. The story follows a protagonist trapped in increasingly intense cycles, where small details trigger tension and mystery.
The focus is not on science fiction, but on the emotional weight: how the cycles reveal an internal conflict that the character can no longer avoid. It is a visually unsettling proposal, with pacing, atmosphere, and an emotional twist that seeks to leave the audience with a key question: What if the real conflict is inside our mind?
Synopsis
Luis is trapped in a constant repetition inside the apartment he shares with his sister. In each cycle, the same situation is reconstructed with slight variations determined by his own decisions, while the presence of a third person—his sister's partner—introduces a tension that is increasingly difficult to sustain.
As the repetition becomes more oppressive and his perception of reality begins to crack, Luis realizes that the true conflict lies not in the phenomenon surrounding him, but in a trauma he has avoided facing for years: guilt over a past event linked to his mother. To break the cycle, he must confront that memory and accept a truth he has kept buried in his mind.

Motivation and Target Audience
Our main motivation is to prove that age, or the fact that we are still in our formative years, is not a limit to developing ambitious creative projects and bringing them to the screen. Through this short film, we want to explore audiovisual language and put into practice the knowledge acquired during our Higher Degree studies. We firmly believe that with effort, commitment, and passion, it is possible to achieve the goals we set for ourselves.
This project is aimed at all kinds of audiences, as it addresses universal emotions and conflicts that people of different ages can relate to. Likewise, it is dedicated to all those artists and students who dream big and strive to turn their ideas into reality.

It will be a great opportunity to promote our work, showcase the final product, and go as far as possible.
