🎬 Our project
At Meraki Produccions, we are four creators eager to tell a true story through a documentary short film linked to music, the choir and the people who make it possible.
With this campaign, we want to finance the filming of the documentary and cover the basic production costs so that we can bring it to fruition in a careful and professional manner.
Your help is key to making this project a reality and to being able to accompany the protagonists throughout the process.
This short film stems from our interest in collective stories, in spaces where people come together to share more than just an activity: time, effort, emotions and bonds.
Music and the choir serve as a meeting point here, but the real focus of the story is the people and their shared experience.
🎥 What do we want to tell?
Our short film documentary focuses on the people who are part of a choir, their daily lives, their involvement and everything that goes on behind the scenes during rehearsals and collective work.
We are interested in showing the more human side of the process: the preparations, the camaraderie, the shared effort and the experience of leaving their usual environment.
We want to talk about commitment, teamwork and what it means to be part of a collective, especially when that collective demands perseverance, dedication and mutual trust.
The documentary observes the small gestures, conversations, silences and moments before singing, those that are not normally seen from the outside.
Part of the project will take us to London, a very important location in the choir's story and journey.
We want to recount this experience from a close, honest and respectful perspective, giving space to emotions and personal stories.
🎞️ Style and approach of the documentary
The short film will take an observational approach, prioritising naturalness and closeness to the protagonists.
We are committed to an intimate narrative, based on accompanying and listening, avoiding artifice and letting the situations speak for themselves.
Visually, the project seeks a simple and careful aesthetic that reinforces the feeling of closeness and truth, allowing the viewer to feel part of the process.
📍 Locations and protagonists
The documentary will be filmed in different spaces that form part of the daily life of the choir and its members:
The choir rehearsals, where the collective work is built.
The homes of the protagonists, to show their most intimate and personal side.
London, as a key location in the choir's journey and the story of the short film.
The protagonists of the documentary are:
Ana, choir teacher and the person leading the research, a key figure in the organisation and support of the group.
Álvaro, a choir member with autism, whose experience within the group provides a particularly valuable insight into inclusion and collective work.
María Dolores, Carmen and Mariano, three elderly members of the choir, who represent memory, perseverance and the value of sharing music in community.
All of them are real people, and the documentary is built on respect, closeness and listening, highlighting their stories and their relationship with the choir.

👥 Who we are
We are Meraki Produccions, a production company formed by four students from the UJI, who are taking our first steps in the audiovisual world through documentary filmmaking.
This project is our Final Degree Project, but it is also an opportunity to tell a story we truly believe in, learn from the process, and work with respect and care for the protagonists and the team.
💸 How will we use your contributions?
The campaign's goal is €1,000, which will be used entirely to cover production costs:
Transport: travel to rehearsals and the homes of the protagonists.
Rental of technical equipment for filming.
Per diems, as the shoots will be long.
Unforeseen circumstances that may arise during production.
This campaign is our main source of funding, so every contribution, no matter how small, helps us enormously to make the project viable.
🗓️ Planned schedule
February – March: Filming in the homes of the protagonists and at choir rehearsals.
April – May: Trip to London and location filming.
Delivery of rewards:
Physical rewards: these will be sent progressively as contributions are received.
Digital rewards: these will be delivered at the end of the project (preview, appearance in credits, etc.).
