La Fábrica

For the past eight years, I’ve been passing a beautiful building every day. These ruins of an old sugar factory are standing quietly between the mountains and the sea. Its abandoned rooms, weathered walls and tall chimney have become part of the landscape. People walk their dogs, birds circle the chimney and the building simply rests in silence, watching the world around it change.

Behind this stillness, I discovered that something beautiful is happening here.

As I began to explore the building’s surroundings, I found a community of dreamers and growers: individuals and families who have come here to build a simpler and more sustainable life in harmony with nature.

La Fábrica is a documentary that tells their story and the story of the old factory itself through the eyes of the abandoned building. A documentary about the past, the present and possible futures for the area. A documentary about time, transformation and coexistence.

Why I Need Your Support:

Filmmaking always requires a basic budget. Now I will invest my own time and energy into this film. But to truly bring it to life I need to collaborate with specialists who can add their unique skills and vision. Your support will help cover:

FPV drone operator. To capture dynamic aerial perspectives of the factory and landscape.

Timelapse videographer. To show the rhythm of time and light around the building.

About me

I am an allround filmmaker from the Netherlands, living in Spain for over 11 years now. My daily work consists of photo and video productions for a wide variety of commercial clients. Besides these commissioned films, I always develop passion projects like this one. These are not paid jobs for a client but simply interesting stories that need to be told.

• I started in television as a cameraman/director. Later I also learned production and editing.

• Co-owned a production company in Amsterdam with a focus on the travel industry and sustainable sourcing.

• Over the past 10 years I moved more and more towards documentaries. I am a storyteller rather than a content creator.
