🌟 About the Project

This new album was born from a deep need to share what sustains me: music as a refuge, a source of joy, and a mirror of our shared humanity.

Each song carries its own colour and energy: some powerful and elegant, others radiant and tender, playful or full of compassion. Together they create an eclectic and original universe, honest in spirit, designed to inspire, heal, and connect.

Releasing the album on vinyl feels like the most beautiful and tangible way to embody this journey in sound.

Because I love what I do—and I couldn’t imagine life without it.

My purpose is simple: to give listeners a place of confidence, joy, and beauty. A safe space to lean on, even in the contradictions of everyday life.

👩🎤 Who Am I?

I am María Valdivieso: singer, composer, and creator.

My inspirations are as varied as Bach, Freddie Mercury, Fito Páez, Pastora Pavón and Morente. I move between languages, genres, and styles because I believe in the richness of blending traditions—music has no borders.

Three qualities define me: creative, eclectic and connected with beauty.

👑 La Odisea de Alondra (The Odyssey of Alondra)

The heart of this project is La Odisea de Alondra, a flamenco musical that combines myth, poetry, and contemporary sounds.

It tells the story of Alondra, a modern heroine inspired by Homer’s Odyssey. What would happen if a woman today embarked on such a journey, drawing on diverse and multicultural influences?

Along the way, Alondra meets powerful goddesses—each represented by a different element, language, and musical style. This fusion of traditions creates a sonic landscape that is both rooted and avant-garde, intimate yet epic.

This is flamenco reimagined: daring, mystical, and deeply current.

Alondra (Spanish): She a Priestess. The Healer of the Temple of Water, burdened by responsibility, who seeks freedom through her odyssey.

Capuchina (Spanish): The goddess of the earth and Queen of the city, offering Alondra her blessing before she departs.

The Eternal Lovers (French): Beings of fire, creators of love, living in passionate unity.

The Sirens (English): Winged creatures of the ocean, pulling Alondra into the depths of emotion and intensity.

Kore (Italian): The sovereign of the underworld, who reveals the truth of happiness and freedom at the heart of existence.
