"Now I Know" new album by Gregori Hollis on vinyl

Now I Know

This is my second album, which was recorded live as a quartet and later produced. It’s an album that fuses a solid base of Modern Jazz with Urban Music and electronic production, accompanied by Mediterranean influences such as Flamenco, Afro-Cuban music, and even Classical Music.

It represents the infinite cycle of learning, where the process of acquiring knowledge humbly reveals ignorance.

Many people have been involved in this project, including three collaborations featured on the vinyl: Chano Domínguez, Rita Payés, and Manu Masaedo.

The musicians who accompanied me and form my quartet are Ferran Rico, Christian Delgado, and Kevin Díaz.

I had the opportunity to work with Lluís Borrell (Lowis), who handled the music production, bringing an urban and electronic sound to much of the album. I also collaborated with bassist Ismael Alcina from Cádiz, who helped produce "Dedicatoria," featuring Chano Domínguez, where he also played the bass.

The visuals for each single released ahead of the album were meticulously created by Claudia Herrán, who not only directed the art direction but also photographed each cover and managed the video recording and editing. The graphic design that ties the album together was created by Celia López, who also designed the vinyl packaging.

This album was recorded at El Tercero Studios by Carlos "Avatar", who also mixed and mastered it almost entirely in analog.

Everything was supported and propelled by Segell Microscopi, the record label that published the album and all the preceding singles.

Let me tell you about the exclusive rewards we’ve prepared for you:

Meet Jordi Ferrer, the chocolatier from Ferrer Xocolata Olot (est. 1907).

Together, we’ve designed a chocolate for each song on the album—a total of 8 unique and exclusive chocolates that reflect the essence of each piece, presented in the same order as the tracks on the vinyl. The idea is that you can savor the music while you listen, creating a multisensory experience paired with chocolate.

Of course, I’m also offering the signed vinyl without the box of chocolates, for those who may not like chocolate… (Yes, such people exist, and we must not judge them).

For those who don’t know me...

I was born into a family of musicians (Barcelona, 1994). I grew up and trained primarily in a classical music environment before transitioning to Jazz.

In addition to being a performer and soloist, I am also a composer and arranger. In fact, I was awarded at the 5th Edition of the Spanish Jazz Composition Competition Tete Montoliu by the SGAE Foundation for "Stamina," one of the tracks on the album.

I studied at ESMUC (Catalonia’s College of Music) specializing in Jazz Trumpet, complementing my education with renowned international musicians like Mireia Farrés, Greg Gisbert, Michael Rodríguez, and Llibert Fortuny.

In 2021, during the height of the pandemic, I released my first LP, “Landing,” an album of Jazz Fusion with Afro-Cuban music, which was also made possible through your support via Verkami.

In 2021 and 2022, I worked on the international tour “Sin Cantar Ni Afinar Tour22” by C. Tangana, serving as lead trumpeter, composer, and arranger for the live show.

At the same time, I was preparing the new music you can now hear on the album "Now I Know."

Estimated timeline

The vinyls are expected to arrive between late January and late February. The chocolates will be delivered alongside the vinyls for those who have selected the reward with the chocolates.
