HISTORIA DEL PROYECTO
My name is Paco Gabás, to many people known as DJ Panko. I am a musician, Deejay and music producer.
For more than ten years I have been lucky enough to travel the world and visit more than thirty countries with Ojos de Brujo.
This experience has given me the opportunity to meet music and musicians from all over the world and gain recognition with our work such as the Latin Grammy (2007).
After the dissolution of Ojos de Brujo in 2011, I have been part of different groups, in addition to my sessions as Deejay and the production of remixes.
More than twelve years ago I moved with my family from my native Ciutat Vella to a small town in the Selva region, on the slopes of Montseny.
During this time I have worked with music, until the Pandemic arrived and our work was limited.
Living in a rural environment and with my passion for agriculture, I decided to start a colorful organic tomato business and while I worked the land I was surrounded by the sounds of birds and insects that I dedicated myself to recording.
The Blackbird, the Pitroig and other birds were my soundtrack and after importing those audios, with no other intention than to investigate with them, I began to produce songs.
When I already had six or seven songs I began to share them with other musician friends who, like me, were locked up without being able to work.
And the incredible collaborations arrived…
MÛ MBANA (Ngoni, Tongoro and Voice) Bolama, Guinea-Bissau
