¿Dónde Está Mi Calcetín? (Where is my sock?)

It looks like someone has lost a sock. Perhaps the octopus under the bed took it? or maybe the ghost in the library has seen it? Regardless where it is, finding this sock is going to be an adventure.

Follow the wonderful story of four charismatic creatures looking for a missing sock and explore the joy of searching and finding even though the things one finds are not always the ones expected.

Who is the audience?

¿Dónde Está Mi Calcetín? The book is meant for anyone who enjoys fantasy and looks for having fun reading but specially for 3+ year old children and beginner readers. The book is written in Spanish and it comes with a cheatsheet in English so it is good for people learning Spanish too.

The project

In creating this story I was inspired by my daughter Violeta who loves taking off her socks all the time ever since she was a baby, and like the one in the book, her socks end up in all sorts of unexpected places. Violeta has a very creative mind and if she doesn't know where the socks are, she comes up with ingenious stories when we ask.

How will the book be?

It will be published in hardcover DIN A5 landscape (closed) printed on high quality paper. There are 36 pages containing fantastic and mysterious illustrations full of surprises sustainably printed and bound in Alicante (Spain).

About the author

Pablo Romero Jarén is a graphic artist and designer from Madrid and based in Sweden since 2015. With more than 10 years of experience in graphic work and development the current project is his first children’s book.

Where does the money of the rewards end?

The money goes to the the graphic production of the author and to all the expenses to produce the book (printing, binding, management…)
