Lost in Venice
Fascinated by the beauty of the 18th century Venetian musical environment, we were sure to dedicate our first recording project to this repertoire.
In collaboration with the musicologist Olivier Fourés, we encountered a large number of works from this period that had never been published or recorded before, some of them reaching today still partially incomplete. Aiming to revive these masterpieces by authors such as Vivaldi or Marcello, we completed and restored them by integrating new parts into them.
With this debut album, we would like to give new life to this music, often considered “lost”, and help it reach a wider audience. Would you help us make it possible?
About us
We are Infermi d’Amore - an ensemble made up of musicians from different countries: Spain, the US, Canada, Ukraine, Italy and France. United by a common passion for the arts, during our studies at the Higher Conservatory of Early Music “Schola Cantorum Basiliensis” in Basel (Switzerland), most of our activity concentrated on the performance of 17th and 18th century instrumental music.
Impacted by the philosophy and aesthetics of ancient music, above all, we seek meeting points with the present, aiming to reach all types of audiences. We are currently still at the beginning of our career as a group and now, more than ever, we need your support to carry out this project. The release of Lost in Venice would help us show the energy of our music and be able to further make use of it in future projects.
