After more than 6 years of experience, the BGMC has decided to record its first studio album. The choir members have decided on the repertoire by choosing songs from all the shows released so far.
The musical tracks will be created and produced by Mateu Peramiquel and Gerard Ibañez, current director of the BGMC.
50 of our singers will participate in the recording of 10 songs.
About us
The Barcelona Gay Men’s Chorus is a choir of male voices that presents a high quality musical show with a varied repertoire along with attractive staging.
As an independent and non-profit entity that is self-financed, BGMC promotes the continuous vocal and artistic training of its members. In addition, it also offers shows that are accessible to deaf people. The also collaborate in general solidarity activities and the LGTBIQ + collective.
BGMC sings, dances, offers shows that are accessible for deaf people, and collaborates in solidarity causes.
Their shows "Survivor", "Gentleman", "Anima", "La Mar de Bé", "LIVE" and "Last Dance" have toured different theaters, such as: Teatre Victoria, Teatre Condal, Sala Muntaner, Sala Luz de Gas, Barts, the Eixample Teatre and the Casino L'Aliança del Poblenou among others.
Annual solidarity concerts have been held in favor of BCN Checkpoint-Projecte dels Noms, Fundació Enllaç, Chrysallis, Afanoc, Amadeo Pelegri Oncology Association and Sonrisas de Bombay.
Every year BGMC performs a Creu Roja Joventut (Red Cross) concert for the Christmas toy collection campaign. So far we have collected more than 5,000 toys over the past 6 years.
Where will your contribution go?
Your contributions will go exclusively to the recording, mixing and production of this album. You will be able to have a selection of our songs at home.
Timetable
The forecast is that the CD and the rewards will be released in December 2021.
