Reubicacions de vida

Between death and life. With life at the centre and loss in the body, heart and soul. In the midst of meadows and forests, forgetfulness and memories, shifting loves and strange days. In the midst of, in front and behind, of mourning. This is more or less how the ‘Reubicacions’ were born. Today, REUBICACIONS DE VIDA.

Laura provides the impetus. She invents, writes, stretches and Maria gathers up and draws.

For three and a half years, we wrote, drew, and published online. The Catorze Cultura Viva hosted and presented. And today, with body, heart and soul in another space, with another music, REUBICACIONS DE VIDA takes on a body to be seen and played on paper: with lyrics, colors, textures and smells. An album illustrated, edited, printed and published.

A carefully curated, reworked and rethought album with a selection and editing to help keep the story going today. A story that, above all, is a process where each piece has its strength, entity and meaning at the time it was written and drawn.

REUBICACIONS DE VIDA is an illustrated ALBUM with 30 pieces in a format of 21x21 and with a length of between 64/68 pages. With a soft cover, with an edition and printing that accompanies the reading and the touch.

WHY DO WE UNDERTAKE THE CAMPAIGN AND WHAT DO YOU GAIN IF YOU PARTICIPATE?

The campaign is a process for editing, printing and publishing your picture album and bringing it home.

If you want, you can still add something more: a bookmark or two with some of the pieces (text and illustration).

Basically, the intention is to get the support, the money needed to be able to do all the editing, layout, production work, with all that that entails, and most importantly printing and sending out the copies.

WHO ARE WE?

LAURA GARCIA JORDAN is the creator and promoter of the project, looking at life after a vital shock of loss. And she is the author of the lyrics and the impetus that shapes the album. She works and weaves life between the word and the body. Journalist, anthropologist and body therapist, she creates, writes and accompanies people, and groups from different backgrounds. MARIA BEITIA CALAF illustrates Laura's Reubicacions de Vida. She listens to them, loves them, observes them, lays them down, sketches them, makes them and remakes them. She has never stopped drawing and has done so for Milrazones, El Cep i la Nansa, Piscina un petit oceà, Akiara books or Anagrama. And VICTORIA PAZMINO, designer and publisher of Yekibud, has begun to give form to this illustrated album with all the care and know-how of those who love books, written and drawn.

PLANNED SCHEDULE

The project is in process, in pre-production. The Reubicacions de Vida are written and illustrated and are in the process of selection and retouching.

We hope to be able to get the essential contributions to be able to produce the final edition, layout, correction and printing, at the beginning of summer and that, at the latest, you can have your copy (s) and the bookmark (s) of the book in September 2021.
