The Mountain of Souls is one of the greatest horror stories in our literature. The author from Sevilla, Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer with his indeleble legacy has since then been recorded in history becoming the standard-bearer of Spanish romanticism and a universal playwright.
It is now time to reclaim his figure updating one of his most important works for current generations.
This legendary tale is now illustrated by Aintzane Cruceta taking us to the medieval town of Soria.
The andalusian artist with a strong pop-like surrealism style uses her artistic skills for inmersing us in the legend and giving us the chance to experience the story as never before.
The illustrated book will have a hardcover format of 40 pages of 23 x 29.5 cm.

About us
Aintzane Cruceta begins her academic career at the School of Art in Motril, continues in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Málaga and finishes her artistic education in the San Telmo School as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator.
She starts her professional career with private personal comissions and carrying out illustrations for several local literary magazines and fanzines.
Cruceta’s artwork is representing a dreamlike world, nature, vindications and the female figure in a leading role, confirming a style based on a surrealist pop style.

Maldragón Editorial is born amidst the COVID pandemic in order to give talented youngsters and prominent artists the opportunity to express themselves and share their art and imagination with the rest of the world.

Allocation of contributions
We will cover the costs of printing, editing, layout, translation, shipping and artistic expenditures.
Scheduled calendar
Once the project is running we estimate about 4 months after the completion of all the pages, edition, layout and printing.
