About the project

I am planing to record all my compositions that are the intimate Stories of my life... Songs about Moments and People, about Emotions and Consciousness... On this beautiful island Tenerife where I live I mostly played in Hotels and Bars... I escaped to Germany every summer to find other Places to perform... This new Album will open more doors for me...

Who is ElMar

ElMar is a popular musician with a strong local following. Born and raised in Bavaria to German and Philippine parents, singer/songwriter ElMar is a sweet example of musical multiculturalism. She plays ethnic instruments, sings in four languages and covers multiple styles from Blues to Bossa.

ElMar’s beginnings in music came from her father, a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who moved to Germany from the Philippines. From an early age she showed natural promise as a singer and taught herself the guitar at the age of 13. Her initial love was classic soul, in particular Lou Rawls and the sound of Motown, and this inspiration is evident in whatever genre she performs today, possessing the ability to soothe listeners with tender tones or raise the roof with emotional, fiery passion.

Onstage ElMar performs with a Spanish classical guitar and Brazilian "Pandeiro" (percussion instrument) and her vast range takes her from the R&B of Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill, acoustic sounds like Lianne La Havas, the funk of Jamiroquai, the Latin rhythms of Brazilian Bossa, to a fusion of Flamenco.

About us

I teamed up with the musician and producer Andi Loser, based in Switzerland. His Recording studio "Zwirnerei Marbach" is really cozy.

Estimated calendar

The album release will be in October, so we are working now on it just to be ready to send the rewards just after the release.
