Flow...and resist!

This publication is going to be my fifth author's book.

I have been fortunate to be able to visit the most diverse natural landscapes of great beauty. With this project I would like to share with you the splendour, deepness and sensations of the places as well as my experiences in them over the last years, where I have walked, contemplated, meditated, camped, lived, and of course, taken pictures.

I will tell my story through 101 photos, in a project that is titled "Flow... and resist!"

The book will be formed by four landscape photo sequences of the most outstanding natural sites of the Iberian Peninsula and other places. All of them represent flowing and resisting, both highly recommended and necessary in the current times.

"Boreal" and “Mars” landscapes, deserts, volcanic coasts, "Flysch", "geoforms", other abstractions of rock and ice, centenary and millennial trees, large mountains, pasture lands, stone labyrinths, agricultural landscapes and almond trees in bloom form the scenarios and represent the elements of flowing and resisting, or the balance of both at the same time.

The book contains 100 photos, of which twenty are in a large panoramic size.

The edition is bilingual in Spanish and English.

The publication also includes a didactic manual with the 100 images commented and analyzed from the point of view of the composition, technique and processing.

The book has 176 full-color pages in an A4 (landscape) format, with a handcrafted-looking cover and is thread-stitched bound.

About the rewards

The book is not planned to be distributed in bookstores, so the only way to get the publication is through participation in this campaign.

It is also posible to purchase copies of my book called "Andalucía” together with the book of the campaign; a large format photographic book made a few years ago "in analogue" based on slides.

About the author

My Name is Peter Manschot. Already some years ago I decided to move from a Nordic country to go to new Mediterranean horizons. In my new destination I was pleasantly surprised by the landscape, both by its variety and beauty, peace and deepness and by the great amount of emotions and sensations it can evoke. From this moment on my vocation started to share natural places and experiences that until now has materialized, among others, in the publication (through self-publishing) of five author's books, individual photographic exhibitions, the realization of many workshops, courses and photographic trips.

Why a crowdfunding campaign?

Publishing a book for me is as rewarding as sacrifying. Illusion and passion also need great dedication, a lot of time, as well as physical and economic effort; you can find here a part of my equipment, worn out over the last few years:

As of today the images are already obtained and the annex content finished, but for the publication I need your help and participation.

Calendar

The book is planned to be finished by late November/early December so that it can be delivered before the Christmas time.
