A 56-minute staging by the Cuban contemporary dance group Micompañía that explores, with 8 dancers, the concept of self-discovery.

An analysis of our past through family ties, memories, secrets, experiences, conflicts, silences and what we inherit generation after generation. Information that nests in our body.

About rewards and patrons

• The future patrons have been grouped and named as some of the categories of professional dance competition levels: youth, junior, youth, adult and senior.

• Each contribution - regardless of the exact amount - is for Micompañía an immense collaboration and a great opportunity to spread Cuban contemporary culture, as well as its traditions.

• Each one of the rewards was thought by the artistic and technical team of the company and is a symbol of their gratitude.

"Micompañía" Who are we?

A Cuban contemporary dance company led by choreographer Susana Pous, one of the most relevant voices of the performing arts on the island. Not only because of the innovation and the level she has given to the dance creation in the country, but also because of her profound use of Cuban cultural memory in the choreographic process.

The headquarter of Micompañía is located in Villalola, Havana. It is a cultural space destined for the exchange and artistic creation, founded and directed by Susana.

To what will we allocate the contributions?

The funds raised, thanks to the contribution of the patrons, will be used to cover the production of the piece and ensure the movement of this work in different platforms and dance circuits.

Schedule

The work will be presented at the José Martí Theater in Old Havana, Cuba, in October 2019. While the international dates will depend on the proceeds of this campaign

One of the main interests of Micompañía is to attend the Tanzmesse 2020 Festival that will take place between August 26 and 30 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The event hosts, every two years, the largest professional meeting in the world dedicated exclusively to contemporary dance.
