THE INVISIBLE MONSTER, A FILM BY JAVIER AND GUILLERMO FESSER

SYNOPSIS: Amenudin's father always smiles because he has the theory that "happier people live longer". That's why, this 8-year-old boy workS and live in the Papandayan dumpsite showing his biggest smile.

His cousin Aliman, on the other side, lost his when the bombs started to falling down from the sky over Marawy City. Nowadays, while Aliman spend the time sad and blue in the refugee camp... Amenudin has an idea to help him bring back his smile.

We have a theory too: we believe that without a good nutrition, people cannot smile. That is why, alongside Javier y Guillermo Fesser we have embarked on the adventure of directing the definitive short film against hunger. And you can take part in this film too.

We believe in film's power to change reality. We believe in the way the Fesser brothers tell stories. We believe that the sum of your collective strength can help us highlight a terrible monster that devours lives, cuts short hopes and leads millions of people into a constant cycle of poverty: that monster is invisible hunger.

Fifteen years after Binta and the Great Idea (filmed in Senegal and nominated for an Oscar in 2007) and four years after Welcome (filmed in Peru and which has received accolades from more than 140 festivals), we are looking for producers for the trilogy's final episode, who will, alongside Javier and Guillermo Fesser, help make the first short fiction film about child malnutrition a reality. We are the first generation that can bring an end to hunger and this short film will be the catalyst needed to do this.

You don't need to be a Hollywood businessperson. We're looking for small contributions from people like you. It's no secret: making films is expensive (we're an NGO, you know what we mean). But we have decided to embark on this project because we believe in it.

We have gathered some unique footage from Marawi (Philippines). Now we need financial support to edit that footage, mix the sound, compose the music, grade... A film like this needs lots of people on board to ensure it becomes a reality. Here's an explanation of what we will spend your money on:

Javier Fesser: ethis prestigious film-maker has won six Goya awards and his films include The Miracle of P. Tinto, Camino and a film adaptation of the Spanish comic book series Mort & Phil. His latest work, Champions, a box-office success story that was praised by critics and audiences alike, has been confirmed as the most successful Spanish production of 2018. Furthermore, Fesser's firm commitment to social causes has meant he has also directed audiovisual projects linked to organisations such as UNICEF and the Organization of Ibero-American States.

Guillermo Fesser: well known for his Gomaespuma radio programme, which was created and presented alongside Juan Luis Cano, Guillermo Fesser is a writer and correspondent in the United States. His career, which has touched on many different areas, has included creating the Gomaespuma Foundation, directing the film Cándida, which was based on the biography of his housekeeper, and publishing an innovative interactive book for children created especially for tablets and mobile phones.
