WHO ARE WE?
We are two friends, Jordi Surribas y Pelayo Muñiz, that founded "La Querida" ("The Mistress") more than a year ago. We started working as a freelance team for advertising agencies, but from now on our intention is work in what we love the most: photography, theatre and, above all, movie-making!

ALL THE SUN IN THE WORLD
“Alone, you wont. With friends, you will!”. Thats what they said in Spanish 80's TV show called “La Bola de Cristal” ("The crystal ball"), and as we spent our childhood in front of television, we can't figure out a better way to express our intentions! Because that's our goal: find a bunch of friends willing to collaborate with us to bring "All the sun in the world" to life.
We welcome you all! Step inside and feel yourself at home!
PLOT
"All the sun in the world" tells the story of Pablo and Mauro, who meet each other while clubbing. They stare at each other, they like each other, they leave together... They think that, yeah, may the lucky times begin... We'll witness their first eye contact, their first smiles, first kiss...
But at the same time we will watch the "video-diary" that one sends to the other after a long time... Even if its pointless. Or maybe because things have to come to an end.
THE PROJECT
"All the sun in the world" is a love story, but also a broken hearts story... A tale about beginnings, also about endings... The short movie will work as a time-line collage, kaleidoscopic fragments that will make sense as soon as we rebuild the whole picture...
We want you to cooperate in this project from the very beginning so we will keep in touch with you through the blog project right here, on Verkami. That way you'll be informed about our movie's latest news, and you'll be asked for advice about things that could come up... So you can REALLY participate in this process.

THE DIRECTOR
I'm Pelayo Muñiz Cabal, I'm 35 years old and I was born in Asturias (I guess that makes some kind of difference!). I'm not very tall, curly haired and, as I'd like to think, immune to discouragement. That means that I'm sort of stubborn with all my things, so to speak.
When I was a kid (and I was shorter!) I was a compulsive comicbooks reader. I'm not quite done with that addiction yet! I keep my unconditional love for the X-men, and the feeling of exploding trash containers with my mental powers when I'm having a bad day. I never actually made it, just give me some more time!
I studied Audiovisuals at the Complutense, and I worked as a Tv screenwriter for a while, but then I started paying my bills with my job as a copywriter.
In 2004 I won the Project Award in Gijón International Film Festival, with my first short movie "Sístiole/Diástole", which was also featured in more than 50 film festivals around the world. My first child was such a traveller!
After that, there was "Ausencia", I started studying at the ESCAC, more short films, a film script that I'm trying to complete with a final plot twist (I'm working on it, I swear!) and a growing interest for play writing...
Let's say I really like to get myself into "trouble"! As you can see...
Lots of projects and lots of will, because in a shooting or a premiere, there are moments in which all the sun in the world seems to be there, and you feel like hugging everybody... There are also moments in which you think about putting your head into the microwaves, but that's another story... But I assure you that all that intensity is addictive...
So if anything of what I've said here sounds interesting for you, I encourage you to take your sunglasses and hold my hand to see if I can get over this nervous feelings!

Hola, Carlos! Pues gracias por el "encante"! La idea es rodar en septiembre-octubre. A partir de ese momento iremos enseñando cosas del corto, entre ellas algún fragmento de los vídeodiarios, claro. Tú estate atento, que poco a poco iremos publicando contenido relacionado con "Todo el Sol del Mundo". Un besaco!
