A year ago I decided to bet on the local production and Fair Wear of UBEEFE clothing. This winter I return with sweatshirts. But to produce them, I need your help to be able to face the investment that it entails. Can you help me?
As you can see, I like to throw myself in the pool and again I do it with the companions of Verkami.
I present a project in transforming key, both when producing and at the time of buying.
With local production and Fair Wear and Gots certificates, we implement fairer and closer relations with all phases of the production process. It is the only option to make them as fair as possible.
The central regions are regions with a long textile tradition, I myself have worked in various production processes such as "cutting", "spinning", "embedded" and loading and unloading. But at the end of the 90s we suffered massive relocations and closures. The only way to resist was to get fired from your place of work to go to work without working conditions at home and compete with mega companies like Inditex.
But in La Costera we have assumed that we are reborn from the ashes and we are recovering time and territory.
That is why I bet on Camisetica and also for making patterns in addition to the design.

And, what about Bangladesh, for example? We know that working conditions are painful and that there is child exploitation among other things. For this reason I also use clothes with certificates FAIR WEAR, GOTS and OEKO-TEX, in this way we can know with certainty that this clothing has been produced with fair working conditions.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the world's leading standard in the processing of textiles made with organic fiber, which includes ecological and social criteria, backed by independent certificates throughout the textile supply chain.
-Fair Wear Foundation
Fair Wear Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization that works with companies and factories to improve the working conditions of garment workers.
-OEKO-TEX
"Trusted textiles", this label can be found in many textile stores that have successfully approved the certification and the absence of harmful substances according to the Oeko-TEX ® Standard 100.
OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system for all types of textile controls of harmful substances, from yarns and fabrics of ready-to-use items that can be purchased in stores.
The goal is that it can finally be entirely local production. Little by little, step by step, the road is long and better to do them together.
It is also a transformative bet when it comes to buying, giving the option to make a purchase of proximity and fair against megamarches such as Inditex or Primark and shopping centers. Valuing also the relations of proximity, working conditions, ecology ... Thus we visualize the invisible, all that is behind each sweatshirt or piece of clothing we wear.
In short, make the idea and praxis go together stripping of contradictions to dress us of proximity and justice.

Why crowfounding?
The costs of designing, making and serigraphing the sweatshirts are very high to be able to face them, since I do not have the necessary economic capacity.
So, to be able to make a new collection of local production with face and eyes, I decided to repeat in Verkami and not risk because of the economic instability that can be.
