FLORA

FLORA emerges as one of the final projects of ESCAC's Master's Degree in Direction (Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Catalunya).

This drama project was chosen by the ESCAC Films' jury and will be filmed in october 2018.

We want to portray one day in Carla's life and show all the effort this character has to do in order to be with her six years old daughter, Flora.

Carla is very passionate for what she does, she works in an ambulance during the mornings as a paramedic and she does her shifts in the hospital on the afternoons.

Mónica, her ex wife, has lived with Flora in a different city for a few years now. This is why Carla has to travel in the weekends to visit her daughter.

We want to show this real, strong and independent woman as she is. A person who works all day, that she is not perfect, that she gets tired like everyone else and keeps on going forward.

We want to portray a protagonist that tells a story that it is not about her sexuality, but represents many familys that go throught the same hard time when it comes to divorce and children's custody.

FLORA is about effort and sacrifice.

We have an international team!

Some of our crew members are form Spain, Perú and Argentina.

Many of us have worked together in multiple projects before.

We have people from ESCAC university and professionals from outside the school working for this project.

We need your help to tell the story we want to tell!

We have ready a list of rewards to share everything about our Flora's short films' jurney.

To contribute to the project click in the button up to the right in the page and then select the reward you like the most.

Verkami will not charge your contribution until the project has reached it's funding goal.

We have different types of rewards. Any contribution helps!

Rewards - How do they work:

Most of the rewards you'll find (pictures, posters, making off) will be delivered in digital form by email so you can download them anywhere you want.

All the patrons that contribute to Verkami will receive their invitation to the premiere in Barcelona.

We will give you all rewards like the tote bags and the printed posters of the short film there in the premiere.

If you don't live in Barcelona we'll send you the rewards with no extra costs included (Just for the patrons that live inside Spain territory.)

The financing obtained through Verkami will be destined to the following:

-Rental of locations for filming.

The contributions will help us rent the places where we will shoot this story.

-Crew members and actors (FLORA Team).

We must move equipment and the entire team of Flora short film. The contributions will help with the expenses of the diets and transportation.

Our last reward is called "To Flora and beyond".

Half of this reward will be donated to an organization that supports and defends the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.

If a patron contributes to this reward and the funding goal is achieved, the Flora Short Film team will choose an organization to whom the donation will be made.

We have the dates from the 19th to the 24th of october of 2018 to shoot Flora short film.

We have the post production planned from the end of 2018 until the beginning of 2019.

• This short will last approximately 15 minutes.
• We have a total of 7 locations, including: a hospital, an ambulance, a bar and an airport corridor.
