I PRESENT TO YOU: DESNUDAS DE PALABRAS (BARE OF WORDS)

I am recording a new album that already has invigorated my creativity and enjoyment in music, and this is not the end. Now it is time to open and share my ideas with someone like you, someone who wants to feel part of the project and are excited about, someone who helps us out with the last push to make all of this come true.

I am launching this crowdfunding looking for help to record, to release, and to spread this project. Please, continue reading to know how I am going to make it and what refunds I’ve prepared to thank your precious help.

The idea, the concept

I am going to take a XIX century's idea and reform it, reuse and transform it into an **instrumental

songs** cycle, with the aesthetics, the concept, the fusion, and the tools of our time.

I want to combine tradition and modernity, I want to make a trip to emotion through the more varied genres, but especially I want to hold on to an aesthetic premise: this album will be an homage to the singing voice without the voice. I am going to call it: Bare of words.

I am going to put the guitar in a much wider context than I’ve ever put it. We are going to get musicians from classical, flamenco, jazz, pop rock, and African music to eagerly participate in this project. I’d like to put the instruments, especially the guitar, in the first place. I want the instruments to replace the voice, and take the leading role. That’s my concept: Songs bare of words.

The immediate analogy between songs and women, in both cases the title and the cover artwork, isn't a coincidence. It is because of my admiration for women’s struggle for social justice. This project has been possible just with my conviction that the best way to find oneself and connect with others is openness. This has led to a difficult personal evolution and I have to acknowledge that women’s tenacity and perseverance have been a rich source of inspiration and motivation. Because of that, I think that to make women’s fight a recurring topic it is a mandatory contribution towards reducing the number of women who have been laid bare of words.

Who are we?

I’m Pablo Romero Luis and I’m a professional musician. I have played in a wide variety of shows, in different countries, accompanied other instruments, including dance and voice. I also have personal projects and put two CDs out there. I play as a soloist, am a guitar teacher and even have a new Youtube channel (check it out).

One day I had the mad idea of creating this project and all of the people I named below, instead of stopping me (that would be the logical thing to do), they decided to support me and join the adventure. They are the individuals I chose to make the idea you are going to support into reality. Never, not in my best dreams I could’ve imagined a better team. Moreover, I have the good fortune to have aboard such a stellar collaborators. I am so moved to count on the support of these professionals I admire so keenly that just get their attention has made all of this effort entirely worthwhile. Here I write their names and some links for you to understand how overwhelmed I feel.

About the rewards

In addition to the intrinsic reward of feeling that you are part of this project and you are making possible this dream, we want that your contribution have a appropriate compensation with the help you are giving us. Because of that, we have packs from 5€ on. The rewards will be from a copy of the CD we are recording, to assist to the premiere (in Madrid). Moreover, I offer Skype classes in Spanish and English and a personalized micro-composition. Like if you met me in a bar and I decided to give you a little hand-written composition on a piece of paper.

Also, there is a VIP ticket with which you could know the musicians backstage and appear as a producer in the album. Moreover, there is a super-reward consisting of, in addition to the above, to assist in one recording session and receive one of my guitars.

What we will do with your contributions?

This adventure has a high budget. But I do believe that we are going to create something so good that it will worth all the economic effort. It is important that you know what are we going to do with your money. In order to clarify it, we made a chart (see below).

Our goal with this crowdfunding is to obtain 4.000€. Taking an austere budget this project could estimate around 12.000€. Thanks to the years in the field of music, the friendship, the illusion, and the enthusiasm we have reduced a little bit this amount of money. 4.000€ is just what we need to finish the recording, release it, and spread this project. Maybe it is interesting for you to know that a multinational company would have a ten times bigger budget. Saying that is just for you to know that we are so decided and certain about the fact that this project must be born.
