A MUERTE

“A muerte”; spanish expression that means to do something as if your life depends on it.

"A muerte" as a motto, as a way of life.

Facing this cruel world we only had one solution: Killing the Hermanas Gestring.

We only had one way to reveal the effect of “a muerte”: facing Hades.

And it could only be adopting a form: possessed by the Keres.

We´ve cheated Charon, Cerberus and Morena&Clara*, will we manage to cheat you?

*Morena&Clara is an old spanish music duet.

AT WHAT POINT ARE WE IN THE PROJECT?

A MUERTE, began to take shape at the end of 2017, at the Tanzhaus in Zürich (Switzerland), where we made a first residence. We had this opportunity thanks to the Choreographic Contest of Madrid PASOA2 2016, edition in which we got the 1st Prize for "GOOD GIRL" as well as some incredible scholarships.

We did a second stage of work in L'Estrcuh Sabadell, in March 2018, with technical residency included, accompanied by the amazing light-designer Benito Jiménez.

In both places we made a sharing, of the work in progress, and we ended up very satisfied with the result and the response received from the audience.

Currently we are meeting and testing, planning, dialoguing with the team, deepening the work, and especially preparing the intensive rehearsals that will be October and November, probably in Seville.

PREMIERE: 23-24 November. Teatro Central, Sevilla

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS?

After 5 years working together we will make our first long piece for theaters, and we choosed a great team to collaborate with.

We want to pay this people.

We want to make the work dignified and fair professionally.

This people help us with music, dramaturgy, costume, lightning… they guide, help and inspire us.

The money we raise will be used to pay salaries, and to buy some scenographic materials that we will like to use in the piece.

We want to step forward in our career and we want “A MUERTE” to be a turning point in it.

This crowdfunding is for us a good chance to try out what we have in mind, and not be limited for our lack if budget.

• The invitation to the rehearsals could be in October and November, and for the general rehearsals at the middle of November.
