** "La Isla Surrealista" ** is a documentary project that investigates how surreal has become the tourist and development situation on an island that is known for its nature and its national park. Uncontrolled construction, billboards hiding the natural landscape, an industrial port in one of the few unconstructed coastal zones or a gasification plant in a place where renewable energies are more efficient; these are just some examples of the poor management of natural resources that have occurred in Tenerife.
In the last few decades our economy has revolved around ** tourism ** and ** construction **, now we consider whether these two activities can be compatible.
Highlight our nature as a tourist claim or transform it into a search for benefits?
We show you that it is possible to live off tourism without having to harm what nature has taken millions of years to create.
About the rewards
We have created the avaiable rewards with the idea of being able to offer our patrons something in appreciation for their contribution in the documentary. From digital rewards that we will deliver a week before the premiere, to physical rewards that we will deliver on the opening day.
ATTENTION
The proposal to give you the physical rewards on the premiere day is because we would like to enjoy the moment with all those who have participated in the crowfunding. In the case of living outside, or not being able to attend the premiere of the documentary, please get in touch with us, and we will try to send them to you.
Who are we
Campamento Garabato Association is a collective of leisure and free time of educational character that has been working in the Canary Islands since 1999.
Our reason for being as an Association is to contribute to the defense of nature through its knowledge and dissemination. The best way we know of how to do it's to teach future generations so that they know and thus love and respect their history, their nature and their culture.
We started working on short documentaries two years ago, with the idea of showing the beauty of the natural landscapes of the Canary Islands as we and other nature lovers have seen it.
Our first work * "Paraiso de Fortunados *", showed examples of how the union between nature, sustainable tourism and sports can be of benefit to the inhabitants of the islands and at the same time help to conserve the nature of a small corner of the Atlantic in which are 4 national parks. You can see it below.
To what do we allocate your contributions
The € 2000 budget we ask for in the campaign will be distributed in transportation costs for recordings and management, the rental of a recording studio to add the narrations, and recording material with which to improve the images we offer you with regards to what we already could offer you in our previous works.
Schedule
This is the schedule we have planned, so if everything goes well and we do not have any troubles we hope to release the short and deliver the rewards to our patrons between September and November 2018.
