PLOT
A man arrives home, and believes an intruder has entered his apartment. He searches for the man though his surveillance system, but ends up finding out something that could cost him his life.
P A R A N O I A
PARANOIA is a short film made as the final project for a Master's degree in filmmaking at ECIB film school.
PARANOIA derides a social phenomenon with a simple message. Often, people tend to create their own paranoia about secret organisations that observe and spy on their lives and the lives of others though surveillance systems, but at the same time, citizens post private content about their lives though social networks online.
The short film is an in-depth reflection on the need to observe others and its consequences.
If you observe, you will also be observed.
No dialog, just a visual experience, in which we experiment with color, light, contrast and narrative storytelling.
HOW DOES VERKAMI WORK?
Verkami is a platform which gives life to new ideas with the collaboration of many people. Thanks to your collaboration and that of everyone, we can finance and shoot our short film successfully. In addition, you will receive exclusive rewards.
First, you decide on the reward you like the most.
Then, you contribute the corresponding sum of money.
· If we reach 100% of the stated goal, you will be charged the amount contributed and we will send you the reward.
· If the project does not achieve its funding goal, you will not be charged anything.
We greatly appreciate your collaboration and sharing of the project on social networks.
WHO ARE WE?
BUDGET & EXPENSES
The funds that we manage to raise will go largely towards the rental of photographic material (camera, optics, lights, etc.), the artistic direction, as well as the props, and the character's makeup and costumes.
We have made an estimate of fund distribution based on the following calculations:
A 40% on photography and sound design
A 20% on art direction and production design
A 15% on project distribution
A 25% on transportation and equipment allowances
We want to thank you for your contribution to PARANOIA, with the rewards that you will find linked to each sum of money.
The contributions made will be entirely allocated to better production of the short film. The money will not be misused, but used in an intelligent way, spending less for a better result.

THE FILMING
The filming of PARANOIA is scheduled for early April. The post-production of image and sound will take place in April and May.
When finished, it will be presented at film festivals or through other distribution networks.
Until the end of MARCH: Pre-production of the project
Days 5, 6, 7 and 8 of APRIL: Production Filming.
Up to MID-JUNE: Post-production and finishing.
The distribution will be carried out once the film is completed and ready for viewing.
THE REWARDS
The filming is scheduled for April 5, 6, 7 and 8 and the delivery of the rewards for mid-June, once the post-production is finished.
Among the rewards, you can be mentioned in the credits, receive signed DVDs of the short film, T-shirts, and copies of the script. If you contribute the largest amount, you have the possibility of coming one day to shoot on set.
