"A SUNNY SWINGY SUNDAY"
The book consists of 32 illustrated pages, four of them are unfoldable to better appreciate the dynamic of the images; this is my first project all by myself and is also a sort of a challenge for me.
It is a simple book, with no written text, in which page after page the reader will follow the protagonist throughout the streets and squares of a dynamic, colorful city dancing at the rhythm of Lindyhop; a dance that I have discovered as I moved to Barcelona.
With my illustrations, I tried to depict the enthusiasm, euphoria and cheerfulness that invades you as you dance to the rhythm of Jazz & Blues. In addition, I wanted to make a tribute to cities, like Barcelona, that give you the possibility to lightheartedly explore its neighborhoods allowing you to discover all their beauty.
My Style, full of bright colors, aims to stimulate children’s imagination. They could linger with their parents on the details of the illustrations and imagine more than one story.
OVER DE GADGETS

For travellers some street-art postcards depicting the characters of the book bringing music around the city.

Hello, my name is Daniela, I am a painter and an illustrator.
A color lover, their infinite combinations… I give preference for well-defined contours.
Always open to new and stimulating projects.
Graduated in childish illustration and scenography I have always used the image, in the form of illustration, painting, sketch or 3D through constructions of sets, to transmit ideas, communicate concepts or simply to transport the viewer into alternative worlds.
In recent years, I have reapproached the world of illustration by creating books full of bright colors that want to "make peace with the world" and convey the joy of continuing to discover.
