La Abuela Vegana starts in 2012 as:
• A sustainable project, because all the ingredients we use in our food preparations are 100% organic certified, seasonal and locally produced.
• An activism way, because we have the firm intention of placing Deli in non-vegan homes.
• A social project for our continued support to handcraft producers or trade fair, and participating in consumer groups.
• With motivation to create and remake the actual way of eating, taking part in a new health paradigm considering animals and Earth rights.
Our intention was coming back to the beginning, eating local and organic seasonal product. We can say that after 6 years working hardly and eagerly, we have reached our goal.
Our patés VeGaia are original combinations, all of them are handcraft made with lovely chosen organic ingredients, highlighting the 50% seasonal vegetable.
In order to get a nutritional balance in each one of our recipes, we add the suitable veggie protein, while respecting La Abuela Vegana values (seasonal, local, organic), depending on each paté.
At the moment we have 11 varieties, appearing throughout the year depending on each season, so that it makes them unique.
OTHER VEGAN PRODUCTS
Bakery (pizza, crackers, pies) integrates local first pressing in cold oils and unrefined flours of recovered ancient seeds.
Pastry (biscuits, muffins, cakes) is prepared using organic and fairtrade ingredients. Always grandma’s way in a traditional oven.
We say NO
To saturated oils (trans), refined flours, protein gluten, white sugar, pesticides, preservatives and emulsifiers
It has not been easy, but our engines are made of illusion and finally we are still standing here, creating and sharing healthy cooking and consciousness.
A NEW STAGE
It is time to reach several sale points and make our product available for more and more consumers, and for that, the main condition is optimizing our production, making it more profitable.
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS
Firstly, we will buy a small sterilizing machine with a 20-litre capacity, and an investment of about 7,000 euros, enough for our artisan work. This preserves bacteriological risks, and it would be ideal for optimizing time consuming and improving personal work.
We will also purchase the BIO seal, in order to access ecological shops. This will require a small investment of approximately 1,000 euros a year.
THIS WAY WE WOULD BE REACHING MORE STORES, RESTAURANTS... We would be a necessary alternative and a healthy option in many menus and food stores.
