Me and my goal

My name is Santiago Ríos and I am a retired mining engineer, father of 4 daughters and grandfather of 11 children.

With this publication I intend to show some of the drawings I make while I attend musical concerts. I have been making these drawings for 20 years as they allow me to combine two of my passions: music and drawing.

Which drawings will it include?

I would show a selection of my best drawings and paintings on classical music, flamenco, jazz or ethnic music.

Many of my paintings (some 150 of them) have been published in a leading local news paper, Heraldo de Aragón, flanking the many of their musical reviews.

I normally make my drawings on the concert program, but I also use notebooks and other materials. Occasionally I scan my drawings and work on them in my computer so that I can then print them on canvas or high quality paper and color them using acrylic, ink, oil or watercolors. I may also use them as sketches to support and inspire other paintings.

What will the book be like?

The book will be 150 pages size 22x22cm. Full color, 125-gram matte coated paper will be used. It will have a hard cover with paperback binding and it will include short texts written by artists and art critics.

Make it happen!

The most important part of this Project is you. This book will only be published if we reach the funding goal with your contributions. This is the only source of funding

How to do it?: On the right side of this page you will find a series of "packages", each with its price and rewards. Choose the one you like most and decide what your potential contribution will be (in euros). This amount will only be charged in case the funding goal is reached. Your contributions will be made through a credit card (remember that your contributions will be made effective only if the project is completed successfully).

What will I use your contributions for?

  • To cover the costs of publishing the book and of the rewards

  • To pay for paperwork and fees associated to obtaining an ISBN for bookshops, to register intellectual property, a trademark, a barcode and pay for postal fees.

  • To pay for taxes and advertising costs

Calendar

Once the funding goal is reached, I reckon it will take about two months to complete the layout design, an additional month for printing and, finally, just the time it takes me to pack and send all your orders.

Abrazos fuertes
