WHAT IS COCORO?
We’re introducing a new way of going through your period.
Cocoro knickers are made of thin fabric, are washable and reusable. They are like all other knickers except for an added detail: Cocoro knickers also absorb vaginal fluid and menstruation. They’re designed to be used the same as pads, on their own or combined with other products such as tampons or the menstrual cup. Day, night, winter, summer, every day or only sometimes…use them any way you want, whenever you want.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
The secret of Cocoro knickers rests on the combination of three types of fabric:
1) Cotton. In contact with the genital zone. Recommended by all gynaecologists.
2) Patented technical fabric. Absorbing, water-repelent, antibacterial and breathable.
3) Beautiful and pleasant fabrics. For the exterior finish, it varies according to the model.
FOR HOW LONG CAN I WEAR THEM?
Each body is different, and there are many variables affecting the amount of vaginal or menstrual fluid us women produce. Because of this, we recommend that you try Cocoro knickers for yourself to find your best way to use them. On days with light period you can use them all day without having to change. On days with a heavier flow, you may prefer to complement their use with that of a tampon or a menstrual cup.
HOW DO YOU WASH THEM?
You can wash your Cocoro knickers like any other piece of underwear: hand or machine wash, with other items of clothing or in a wash bag. Although in order to preserve the absorbing fabric it is important NOT to use fabric softener and to avoid the use of the tumble dryer and the iron.

WHY IS IT A REVOLUTION?
The revolution consists on making women’s daily lives more comfortable and on being able to discuss a subject that is still taboo nowadays: menstruation. Although it affects half the population during an average of 40 years, there hasn’t been a significant improvement on this field when it comes to technological innovation.
Because of this, Cocoro’s aim is to make our lives more comfortable for those of us who must put up with our periods once a month. We want to give women another option; one that is not only is more comfortable but also helps us to reduce the environmental impact of plastic waste and saves us money.
WHO IS BEHIND THIS REVOLUTION?
We are Eva, Cristina, Laida and Clara. In 2011, as part of the cooperative Femmefleur, we began this adventure with a very clear idea: we wanted to improve women’s daily lives, finding solutions to problems that had so far been left unattended. We started by distributing the menstrual cup, a project that has allowed us to get to know the needs that many women have in relation to their period up close. And one of those needs was a comfortable and effective product of external use that didn’t generate waste. That was how Cocoro began.

We have been in charge of coming up with the idea and its design together with the lingerie designer Rosario Puñales, who has been in charge of giving the careful, detail-driven design we desired. It is entirely manufactured in Barcelona workshops, and this allows us to closely follow each part of the process.
After trying out our Cocoro knickers on different types of women with different habits, we have come up with a product that works and that we’re eager for the world to know about. It has been and intense and very enriching process. It has allowed us to adjust Cocoro to the needs and the feedback that all these women have given us, and learning a great deal in doing so.

HOW WILL WE USE THE FUNDING?
The funding will be used to manufacture a first batch of at least 1500 units. This is the minimum amount for the production costs to be viable and for Cocoro to become a real product. These costs add up to €21,560, thus itemised:

Do you ship internationally?
Shipping is included for Spain Mainland, Balearic and Canary Islands. To get international shipping, you have to add to your cart the "international shipping” perk, in addition to the reward you like.
If you exceed 12 units, you must add another "international shipping” reward, and so on every 12 units.
How can get my Cocoro?
Right now, the only way to buy your Cocoro is through this Verkami page. It’s a crowdfunding campaign that we've launched in order to be able to produce the first units of panties. To get them, select the reward that you'd like from the column on the right hand side: one units, the pack of 3, pack of 6, etc. Follow these simple steps and in less than 3 minutes you've placed your order.
When will I receive my Cocoro?
When the campaign ends on 23 December, we’ll receive the money raised and we can start production, which is scheduled for January and February. Therefore we’ll start shipping early March. If there are changes to the schedule we’ll keep you informed.
How do I indicate the size and design I want?
After the campaign ends on December 23rd, we will contact all patrons with a questionnaire where you can specify the size, style and color you want, along with shipping details.
I bought a pack of more than 1 Cocoro. Can I order different sizes, designs and colors?
Yeah! You can mix sizes, styles and colors in all the packs.
How I can know what size is mine?
At the moment, we have this variety of sizes: XXS (Basic model only), XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL (High model only). We’ve included on the main page a size chart with equivalents in centimeters so you can know exactly what size suites you the best.
How do you wash Cocoro?
The Cocoro knickers can be machine washed with other clothes without any problems. They do not stain clothes and or leave traces. You can also wash them by hand if you prefer, or inside a washing bag for delicates. It is also very important not to use fabric softener, put them on the dryer or use an iron, in order to avoid damaging the absorbent technical fabric.
How long they will last?
We have calculated that the the special technical fabric is 100% effective up to 60 washes. That's adds up to 2 full years if you use them continually. After this period, the fabric will start losing its absorbent quality, but you can still use the Cocoro as any other ordinary panties. ;)
Will I feel moisture using the Cocoro?
The Cocoro are composed of three layers: cotton, technical fabric and a outer finishing fabric. The panties dry up with the heat from your own body, and when you use them, what you will see is a small dark spot. If you start to experience moisture, it means they are full and it’s time to change.
Is this a replacement for pads and tampons?
The Cocoro work as substitute for other external products (pads and panty liners). They can be combined with the use of tampons or menstrual cup, but you can also use them without anything else, like pads. It depends on the amount of discharge you have and what you are more comfortable with. :)
Is this a good choice for urine leakage?
The Cocoro panties have been developed thinking about menstruation and vaginal discharge, which is very specific and has different characteristics than urine. That's why, for the moment, they can not be used as a substitute for the urine leakage products. In the future (hopefully not too distant!) we plan to investigate and provide a solution for this. :)
Where will does the blood and the discharge go? How is it absorbed?
The intermediate layer, composed of a special technical fabric, will absorb both menstruation and vaginal discharge. When it is fills up, you'll notice some humidity and know that it is time to change.

Fa ja uns dies vaig rebre el tan esperat paquet amb el meu conjunt Cocoro.
Quan el vaig obrir no m,ho podia creure. El conjunt és molt més bonic del que em pensava! Sobretot m,havia fet una imatge una mica més ortopèdica dels sostens, i que va! Són preciosos i semblen de llenceria fina (jejejejeje). Em sentiré molt sexy quan tingui la regla i el porti. Ja tinc ganes boges de provar com em funciona.
