PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Design studios 'OOO My Design' and 'Mum Look What I Do', have joined forces with 'Verkami' in this project to pay a tribute to our King of Pop, the great artist who always carried a child within.
MJ has always been a star and victim of its own popularity, which over the years was hiding his true nature and becoming more artificial. A child with great charisma, cheerful image and a spectacular voice. A young theatrical man that created the first video clips of high production values and marked a turning point in the history of music and dance. Finally, a pale, eccentric artist who kept adding to his face layers and layers of makeup. This project pays a tribute to MJ remembering three of his main phases.
The work consists of a series of three ceramic sculptures made with the latest technology in ultra definition Z650 illustration, representing the three major periods of the King of Pop in the form of removable matryoshka doll.
OUR GOALS
We look forward to produce an initial edition of 10 sets in the 3D printing firm '1 Pixel Studios' (www.1pixelstudios.com). The funding will cover the production of this first set of 10 that will be used for the subsequent presentation of the project. The promotion will include exhibiting the artwork at some of the most prestigious design festivals worldwide. Since this will lead to more expenses, please continue donating your contributions after completing the intial production goal to help us promote the project. The festivals (and related expenses) that we intially plan are:
ICFF, Contemporany International Furniture Fair in New York (1296 €)
DMY, International Design Festival Berlin (1116 €)
Salone Satellite in Milan (1300 €)
ABOUT US
'OOO My Design' is a studio for architecture, art and design and has worked on projects throughout Europe and the United States, designing spaces, houses, exhibitions, furniture, books and video games; always as self-production. Its latest project 'Cassette Is Not Dead' received multiple awards for being a successful eco-friendly project that developed a range of products from obsolete technologies. 'OOO My Design' also created, through its website, a platform where young designers who manufacture their own designs can publish their work and sell directly to end users, without intermediaries.
'Mum Look What I Do' is a studio for graphic design and illustration specializing in packaging that carries a line based on the humor, irony and double meanings. The studio has made the artwork and original idea of this project.
