WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO?
PLAY WITH FOOD - The food scene is the first visual and performing arts festival devoted entirely to food: theater, dance, video, installations, photography, performances, sound design and, of course, cooking.
The festival is the brainchild of Cuochivolanti and the Association CuochiLab, a group of chefs and artists working since 2006 between theater and cooking.
Creations:
"Kitchen Kabarett", cocktail-variety inspired by the “cafe chantant” mood,
"Cooking Times", live-cooking performance,
"Cucinasonora", sound desing experiment in the kitchen,
"Storm of Pasta", picture story about food,
and many other events including catering, cooking and theater.
Since 2010 we are the creators of the festival PLAY WITH FOOD.
PLAY WITH FOOD was created to give space and visibility to young artists who put the food in the middle of their projects.
Actors, playwrights, dancers, photographers, videomakers, performers, visual artists, graphic designers have created with us the first two editions of the festival, proposing their visions and playing with freedom and creativity on the theme of food.
PLAY WITH FOOD 3 is planned in Turin from March 28 to April 1, 2012.
WHY ARE WE ON VERKAMI?
PLAY WITH FOOD is completely autonomous and self-financed.
The first two editions were made possible thanks to the complicity of artists and a rich network of exchange and collaboration with other associations and cultural realities, who believed in our project.
Despite the lack of funding, we organized the first two editions, with an excellent response from the public and the press.
THIS YEAR WE ASK FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO GROW OUR PROJECT.
The funds collected through Verkami will help us to consolidate the structure of the festival:
investing more on the communication and promotion
paying professionals who until now have supported the festival with their free work: graphic and web designers, photographers, videographers, technicians, chefs, locations staff, organizers, art directors and various collaborators.
improving the technical and logistics equipment of the festival.
