{El Círculo de Plata} Limited artist book

• An artist´s book /limited edition

• of etching, aquatint, gold pigment and linocut, borderless prints/ illustrating the puppet play {THE SILVER CIRCLE} by Martín Rôo, of the RAJATABLAS company.

• Printed on paper handmade by the ESKULAN mill-workshop in Guipúzcoa.

• Closed format: 22X22X6 cm. presented in fabric-lined German cardboard box and text crafted in low relief by the bookbinder SOL RéBORA

• The edition will consist in 12 signed and numbered examples.

• I have long wanted to produce an artist´s book and together with the work of Martín Rôo/ puppets RAJATABLAS, the ESKULAN mill-workshop and the bookmaker SOL RéBORA, the result will represent a multidisciplinary pleasure.

• The proceeds will be used to pay for materials, plates, Eskulan paper, inks, Sol Rébora´s binding, shipment costs to the patrons.

• Estimated production April, May 2012

• Patrons will receive their awards in June / July 2012

Beauty looked at the tree, and the tree faded into blue smoke and green smoke/ Beauty looked at the cat and the cat melted into the flames with a squeal as bright and sharp as its claws/ Beauty looked at a well of water and the water disappeared, spinning in the air/ seven golden fish were left gasping, tails flapping, in the dry mud at the bottom/ then Beauty turned on her perfect heels/ the last thing her eyes saw was a blind boy who, playing at looking at himself in the mirror, turned the silver circle of his mirror towards her/ the air stopped shivering and silence took over/ the cricket and the butterfly looked out from behind a stone/ wing to wing, feeler to feeler/ the butterfly flew off to some flowers/ the cricket sat on a stone and half-closing his eyes with a smile began to sing once more//
