Our trip

TRANSMUNTANUS is a minorcan band formed in 2012 result of a chance encounter of three musicians: ** Dani Katanga , Jose Montes and Nacho Paricio in a Jam Session ** in La Margarete, a bar in Ciutadella de Menorca .

The original name was Paquediego , but after a summer of joker performances Dani left the island to look for other opportunities in Tarragona. We thought that would be it .

But then, we discovered a drummer, *Edu Coll * , and the first time we heard him we knew he had to play with us. We proposed him setting up a new band taking some ideas from the previous and so we did TRANSMUNTANUS, with a touch of latin result of the entry of Edu .

TRANSMUNTANUS came up with the idea of making progressive psychedelic rock music, but at the same time with lots of Groove so that it hooked people to dance more than stare. So we took the Funk and Afrobeat ** rhythm of the seventies, exploring underground bands of Togo, Benin, Nigeria ... and mixed it up with the **Rock that had been inside us all the time.

2013 a good friend of us, Josemi, who has a recording studio, helped us with a demo which we are proud of, but that is far from the style that the group has developed, and by that time we did not have the means nor the experience to do a good job.

We have spent two years preparing material to record a new album and this time we want to have more resources and time. The group has grown and begins to have his personal sound. So we encourage you to cooperate with us to fund this project which you could say it's almost our first album. And we hope it helps us to make ourselves known outside the island .

How will we use your contributions

The amount contributed will go to cover the costs of editing and producing the first album of TRANSMUNTANUS. Your money is going to be our main source, although if necessary we would complete the amount with savings that we have based on the concerts we have been doing with the group.

Schedule

Our intention is to release the album before February 2016, so that from that date on we could deliver rewards.
