Thank you so much to everyone who pledged and for the amazing response the project is having.
New Target in Nepal and New Reward
I'm planning my trip to the Gorkha disctrict. I'm going to an area (Ghyachchok) which is only accessible by foot (it's a 5-hour walk), where 3 out of the 9 towns which used to exist there need to be rebuilt at a different location, since the ground is not safe after the earthquake.
The "expedition" towards this area is more expensive than I expected, which is why I am changing my last target and adding a new reward:
I will be longer than planned to be able to go more places.
For 100 euros I will send you (on top of everything else) the video with all the tales from the workshop ”Folktales", we are doing with the children.
Share the news with everyone you know. Let's make this new goal a reality!

The education system in Nepal – like in many other countries – is based in repeating rather than experiencing. Subjects such as Photography and Arts help students develop their artistic creativity.
Through my workshops students also learn to plan tasks and follow a step by step schedule in order to attain their aims: both are processes they are little used to.
This small change in approach can get to be very beneficial for them in the future.
What do my workshops consist of?
There are different types of workshop. The one(s) being taught will depend on length of stay, available material and venue facilities.
All workshops consist of a mixture of different techniques, including drawing, painting, collage, acting, narration, video and photography.
The combination of the above disciplines helps students enhance their creativity.
As students get familiar with their camera and develop their imagination through games and playful activities, they learn concepts such as decisive moment, depth and perspective amongst other basic photography notions.
My previous experience includes work with Burmese refugees in Thailand with Spanish charity Colabora Birmania and the workshops taught in the small village of Taung Ywar Thit (a non-touristy area of Myanmar) with Jofran Internacional
What will your funds be used for?
*I have bought 6 cameras and Fujifilm donated 8 more cameras.
Besides this, funds will be used entirely to purchase material needed for the workshops; mainly SD cards, camera maintenance, batteries and other materials.*
The detailed list is as follows:
-SD memory cards for the cameras.
-Pen drives to give to each school with their work.
-Rechargeable AA batteries (there are 6 cameras that work with these).
-AA battery charger (to use whenever there’s electricity).
-Non-rechargeable AA batteries (we will need them when there’s no electricity available).
-A3 paper to draw speech bubbles and make the final collage.
-A4 paper to draw the smaller speech bubbles.
-A4-sized transparencies or plastic slides.
-Scissors.
-Newspapers or magazines to cut out images.
-Glue.
-A3 and A4 colour printings of the photos to exhibit them.
-Transport to/from printing facilities or, in case they’re not available, purchase of a printer on site to carry with me. I would then donate it to a school that needs it when I leave.
-Transport between schools within the country.
I will NOT use any funds towards personal expenses or international trips.
The schools I will be volunteering at are modest and in some cases the classes are taught in tents on the playground. Nevertheless, in most occasions I am offered a plate and somewhere to sleep amongst the students, teachers or monks.

Reward delivery schedule
I am getting to Nepal the second week of September.
I can start sending newsletters, photos and videos from October.
The Screensavers sent will be related to the Myanmar Creativity Photo Project and the Thailand Creative Photo Project. At the end of this campaign I will send the one done in Nepal.
Those who sponsor me with €150+ will be able to take part in my workshops when I´m back.
Additional goals
If the original goal was reached and more funds obtained, I would extend my project to Vietnam, Laos and Sri Lanka (depending on the amount of extra funds).
If the final amount reaches €1,500 I would extend it to Northern Vietnam, add Laos if the funds get to €2,000 and Sri Lanka at €2,500.
First goal reached: New Goal and New Rewards!
New Goal: €1,500 to take my project to Vietnam.
New Rewards: If we reach the goal, both new and old sponsors will receive information, newsletters, screensavers, videos, etc. from Vietnam too!
We have reached the second goal and after Nepal I will go to and Vietnam to do the Creativity Photography Workshops!

Moltes gràcies pels teus ànims i col·laboració!
Seguim en contacte!

Hola Clara!

Faria servir l’usuari: "Aportacions Analògiques” o alguna cosa similar
L’Ingrès l’hauries de fer a nom de Clara Garcia Ortés i el compte és EVO Banco: ES96 0239 2060 8930 4002 7125
Moltes gràcies!
Cris
Hola, Molt xulo el projecte! M’agradaria aportar al projecte però de forma anònima i no vull la recompensa. Es podria fer? Necessitaria un número de compte per fer l'ingrés, potser?. Moltes gràcies.
