The show that I am presenting to you, inVaginación, is an exhibition of nude self-portraits, mainly composed of large format oil paintings.

I like to have fun and I expose myself unapologetically and, I believe, with a certain amount of courage. You will follow the creative process of my new works as well as seeing the creation of my work for the benefactors and including the preparations for these installations. There will also be surprises during the opening ceremony of The Artistic Nude.

It is an emerging art fair where anyone can display their art, if they can afford to pay for the space by the square meter. I'm sure that as it grows, later editions will be the exclusive domain of renowned artists.

The exhibition will take place from Wednesday July 22 to Monday July 27, 2015, at the KURSAAL in San Sebastian, Guipuzcoa, Spain. It will be a meeting point for professionals, artists, gallery owners and collectors worldwide.

What I fight for: Freedom of expression

When the artist and the model is the same person, the resulting work is a mirror of the soul. Beyond a naked body.

My struggle is the freedom of artistic expression, since I have been censured for years, both online and in my day to day life.

On social networks and other sites, especially Facebook, my work has been considered "inappropriate" and I’ve been punished, almost criminalized, with them disabling my account and deleting content. At fairs and art competitions I have been banned from displaying works of a sexual, political or religious nature. I’ve been insulted at my stall and I have even been mistaken for a prostitute.

The struggle, for me, is life and death. And yes, it can be very lonely. So I'm looking for someone like you, a backer, a benefactor, who can help me and, by extension, the gallery owners or dealers who are going to discover me at this fair! Well, that is the whole intention of this project.

This exhibition could be a reality for me and you will feel proud having contributed to the freedom of expression in art, making possible my first incursion into the international world of nude self-portraits.

WHAT I WILL BE ABLE TO DO WITH YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS

This is a personal and unitary project, but with you, if you join me, I’m no longer alone.

I have no support from any institution, so your contributions will enable this exhibition to take place.

I've thrown myself headfirst into the world of art, "naked" with no thought for profit or reward.

For years, the galleries have not sold paintings, but just allowed the displays of artists. If you want to show your work, you have to buy a space.

Thus, the proceeds will go entirely to fund:

• The Stand.

• The transport of works from Barcelona to San Sebastián (Since I risked showing outside the Basque Country a year ago, and I still have not got the money together to bring the paintings back).

• In return for your contributions.

Allow me to reach my target and get more funding, I will put all immediate funding into the installation, dismantling, opening and closing ceremony, and also advertising. Then if possible the production of new works, whose creative processes will be shared with you first, my benefactors, even after the end of the campaign and the Fair.

All the postal expensives are included at national rates. But for overseas benefactors there will be a slight additional cost for postage. Those that come to the fair, or the performance, will be able to pick up their rewards personally.

ABOUT REWARDS

My work now is also yours, a gift at your fingertips: From your name painted on my body to the underwear. And handmade rewards such as your caricature in charcoal or your oil painting or watercolour.

I decided to be original in offering more interesting and unique rewards. So I will invest time and effort on each unpublished work to thank you for your help, all done with personal care, dedication and signed by me.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS

The exhibition opens in July 2015. The rewards can be received between April and October this year, depending on the chosen gift:

Crowdfunding: From March to April.

Rewards up to 75 euros: Until the end of April.

Reward 100-250 euros: Until June.

900 Reward: Up to September or October.

Consummation of exhibition project: The opening of the Art Fair. From 22 to 27 July 2015.
