1st Madrid International Children and Youth Choir Festival
16 choirs participating
More than 600 singers
8 days of activities and concerts in the Spain capital city
Free entrance to all daily concerts
Grand closing concert with all participating choirs
From the 1st to the 8th of March, the first International Children and Youth Choir Festival of Madrid will be celebrated in Madrid, bringing together choirs both from Spain and other parts of the world. They will share with the audiences all their quality and enthusiasm, and defend the importance of young voices for the future in choral music.
The Festival is based on the common objective: singing. This idea being present in the premiere of Cantar para vivir (Singing to live), a documentary film that is centered on singing as a way of living. It includes interviews, concerts…
And this will only be the start of the Festival! After it, we will enjoy concerts by more than a dozen choirs, culminating in the performance of the piece, ‘’Five Days that Changed the World’’ by English composer Bob Chilcott.
With your donation, you will be helping us carry out this project, making the Festival and everything involved go perfectly. Moreover, you will be opening the doors for the first, and not last, Children and Youth Choir Festival of Madrid, hoping that we will be able to have an even bigger second edition, with choirs from all over the world willing to fill Madrid with music.
Among other things you will help us to:
Record and film the concerts
Organize photo-sessions with all participating choirs
Launch the official Festival T-shirt
Widely extend the Festival with more advertising and media presence
Film a live streaming of the closing concert, making it possible that all of you and many others will be able to watch it
