RED is the title of the fist album by saxophone and clarinet player Lluc Casares, born in Barcelona but currently living in Amsterdam, since 3 years ago. This album is the culmination of a long academic process which finished last October 2014 when Lluc graduated of his Master studies at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam. During that time he also had the chance to be part of a exchange program with Temple University, Philadelphia where he lived for 6 months (August-December 2013). The music in the album is been written in these 2 places but also in his original city, Barcelona, where he keeps the contact with the local scene pretty alive.
The album has 9 tunes, 6 original compositions by Lluc and 3 arrangements of another composers. One by Bob Marley, another by piano player Xavi Torres and a jazz standard from the american songbook.
