What is it?
FAIRCHANGES is the online marketplace to buy and sell products and services that fulfill three premises:
1- Environmentally friendly {To return health to People and Planet}
Without the middleman {To allocate our money to responsible creators/producers, supporting self-employment, return to rural areas, and reconciliation of family life}
Without slavery or child labor {To preserve Human Rights}
Sustainable producers and creators can sign up and list their own items easily on FAIRCHANGES.com. They receive money from buyers and ship directly to them. Disintermediation
Our multilanguage interface helps sustainable producers and creators get worldwide relevance. And geolocation tools help buyers find items nearby, promoting local sourcing and saving shipping costs and pollution. Think global. Act local.
We want this Verkami campaign to be the first step of a socially responsible design line under the FAIRCHANGES brand.
And we want a small part of every sale on our pro human rights marketplace to help continue this work with people at risk of social exclusion.
EYE. Engage Yourself Entirely.
Following FAIRCHANGES' philosophy, we wanted to create something unique. We wanted our collection to have a high social impact.
Under the appearance of optician's eye charts, a series of framed prints hide the most motivational quotes to make you start your day with the necessary dose of inspiration.
To make this handmade series we decided to actively involve people in situation of vulnerability.
Each frame is handpainted with care by people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
We collaborate with an Association called Autismo Burgos located in the North of Spain, which this year is celebrating its 30th Anniversary.
We also decided to use sustainable materials to create a smaller environmental footprint, and to preserve natural resources for future generations.
Each print is made in PRO-DESIGN paper, Ecolabel and FSC certified, supporting sustainable management of forests.
The mini-pallet coasters with the FAIRCHANGES logo that complete the inspirational sets are made from recycled wood. Together with a framed eye chart with your favorite quote it can be the perfect eco friendly gift. You can choose among 19 different versions, or even propose your own quote.
