Matteo Faccenda

Director, editor and producer. He starts as a free-lance photographer and travels to Africa and Asia where he makes his first reportages, the first one on the struggle of the Saharawi people. He carries out his film studies for 3 years in EICTV, Cuba, where he graduates in editing. Author of three documentaries that investigate identity and spirituality, in 2021 he won the Visioni dal Mondo Festival in Milan. In Cuba he begins to explore fiction and with his first two short films he tackles the recent history of the country and the world of Santería. His works as editor have participated and won in festivals such as Venice, Locarno, Havana, Miami, Hotdocs, Cork, Warsovia, IDFA.
