The documentary Five seconds, a spanish Roller Derby story tells how, out of nowhere, Roller Derby starts to take shape in Spain up to have **20 teams across the country **and how it comes the team that will compete later this year in the World Cup of this sport in Dallas (Texas).
The Roller Derby is a contact sport based on quad skates on a flat track, so requires great strength, teamwork and intelligence to carry out the strategies. It was born in USA and it is practiced internationally, predominantly by women.
The team that will represent Spain in the World Cup between 4th to 7th December is made by 18 women, that fulfill their dream on skates. However, it is a sport that is growing every day locally, capturing more fans and players as to be revealing.
This documentary aims to be just that, a little push to promote the sport through its protagonists; with personal interviews with the players, showing the hard work behind the training and the matches and their operation.
HELP US TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE!
Why do we need your support
Most of the recording process has been made in the latests months, such as interviews with local teams and the players of the team and recording the training and try outs or tests of ability to be part of the Team Spain .
The funding (and therefore your help!) would cover the cost of the final part of the documentary; the recording of the World Cup in Dallas from 4th to 7th December and post production work and broadcast of the film.
Release
The planned release date is March 2015 in DVD and online version. Rewards will be sent at the same time.
