Why is it that 13 young people that have never wore a wetsuit grab a surfboard and go catch a wave? The key is passion, both for our adventure called Koa Surf Magazine and everything that surrounds the surfing world.
Spanish coasts are full of surf-lovers but it doesn’t exist a wide variety of publications related to this sport. Besides, Spanish and international magazines highlight mostly the technical aspects of surfing; but we want to tell other stories. Surfing is for everyone, and that’s what we want to show you.
We aim to let the world know about all those passionated people that might have not gone to California for finding their Maverick, but only spend their time thinking about ending their working day to put their wetsuit inside their trunk, dive in and ride some waves before coming home.
What is Koa Surf Magazine?
Koa Surf Magazine is a magazine for tablet that will be available in both Spanish and English. It does already exist and 5 sections integrate this publication, full of authenticity and enthusiasm. “Camouflaged surfer”, “Coordinates”, “Sea stories”, “Life styles” and “The art of surfing” gather up stories and new perspectives about the world of surfing. Even though surfing is mainly about people and stories, it’s also about places, music, cinema, legends, art…
What will be your donations for?
For publishing all those contents we’ve already developed, we need to pay some licences and to program each one of them so they are compatible with the tablet format. Your donations will be used for paying the Adobe and App Store licenses so that Koa can be ready to download.
**When will you start enjoying Koa on your tablet? **
These licenses have a delay of approximately a month. Once we have collected the money we need to give life to Koa -taking into account the time enterprises need for licences and programming-, we hope you can get Koa Surf Magazine in June or July.
When you can't submerge yourself in the sea, we want you to drown yourself in our magazine. Will you help us to catch this wave?
