OUR PROJECT ARISING

After years of dedication, learning, and experience, we are taking a decisive step in our artistic careers: the production of our first CD. This album represents not only the culmination of a stage of musical maturity, but also a step forward in our artistic journey, a way to share with the public our search for connection and beauty through music.

ARISING holds a deep connection with the story that inspired the piece As Tranquility Arises, written especially for this ensemble by composer Jorge Grundman. The title of the CD evokes what is born, new horizons, and the desire to keep growing. The project is built as a dialogue between tradition and renewal within the repertoire for saxophone and piano, integrating original works, our own transcriptions, and a world premiere. The essence of Romanticism runs through the entire program, where historical composers such as César Franck and Manuel de Falla meet leading contemporary voices like Fazil Say and Jorge Grundman.

This project was born from our vocation to communicate with the listener. The program has been performed in numerous concerts over the past few years, allowing us to experience how this music naturally resonates with audiences, consistently awakening curiosity and admiration.

SCHEDULE AND TECHNICAL TEAM

• The recording of ARISING will take place throughout November 2025 at the Auditorio de Zaragoza, recognized as one of the finest acoustic halls in Spain.

• The recording will feature a first-class technical team led by Javier Monteverde (sound engineer with several Grammy Award nominations) and Kostas Pilos (producer trained at the Universität der Künste in Berlin), together with composer Jorge Grundman, who will accompany the process with his artistic and technical insight.

• At the same time, the audiovisual team formed by Víctor Mansilla and David Bernal will create the project’s visual materials: a documentary, photographs for the album, and promotional videos.

• During 2026, all post-production, mastering, and editing work will be carried out, along with the design and printing of the physical CDs.

¿WHO WE ARE?

The duo formed by Ismael Arroyo and Eduardo Moreno has been sharing the stage and developing an intensive concert activity for over five years. Their career has led them to perform in venues such as the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, L’Auditori in Barcelona, the Museo del Greco in Toledo, the Fundación Sa Nostra in Mallorca, and the Salón Noble of the Diputación de Badajoz, among others. They have premiered works by composers such as Jesús Torres, Jorge Grundman, and David Cantalejo, reinforcing their commitment to contemporary creation. For the preparation of the album ARISING, they have received artistic guidance from Vineta Sareika and Gregor Sigl (Artemis Quartett). Among their recognitions are the tour with Juventudes Musicales de España and the ImpulsACIMC 2025 Award, which will take them on a tour across Catalonia in 2026.
