THE HIDDEN ROUTE is a unique documentary and journalistic project, the content of which will only be revealed once you join.
Once you contribute to the project, you will receive a secret folder containing project information.
The final project with text, photos, and videos can be viewed exclusively using a password you will receive on the author's website.
You can also access the entire production on a private Instagram channel, with videos of the author explaining the entire process before and during the fieldwork.
You will become a co-creator of an audiovisual journalistic experience whose theme and revelation remain hidden until after your participation.
The proposal is simple: trust an author who has been working on migration routes for more than 20 years, participate, and discover a hidden migration route that the media doesn't cover.
When you support this project, you're not paying a giant platform or a corporate media outlet: you're buying directly from the independent producer.
Supporting the producer directly means being part of a community that believes in honest and accessible journalism. A collective work that brings hidden realities to light and opens spaces for conversation that traditional media often ignore.
It's like shopping at a local market; you support a fair, transparent, and accessible way. There are no intermediaries here. Just you, us, and the people whose voices deserve to be heard.
PROJECT/

There is a rarely talked about migratory route, one of the toughest and most dangerous in the world. Thousands of people travel it every year, facing unpredictable seas, violence, hunger, and invisible borders.
We want to document this hidden path with a journalistic project that combines research, photography, and video. It's not just about numbers: we want to show the faces, voices, and hopes of those who make this silenced journey.
Your support as a patron will make it possible for these stories to come to light.
Project Author
Sergi Cámara is an independent documentary filmmaker who has focused on migration from Africa to Europe.
He has documented the arrival of barges to Yemen from Somalia, the migrant route through the Sahara Desert, and organ trafficking involving refugees and migrants in Egypt.
For ten years, he documented human rights violations at the Melilla border fence and followed the refugee route through Europe.
He is the author of the book NEGRO, published by Blume Editorial. 2019 Joan Gomis Memorial Award for journalistic career.

How we will use your contributions
The contributions will help with the realization of the project.
Your support goes directly to the fund. It does not go through filters or the interests of major media outlets.
