Feel The Gap: Almost Fast

OUR PROJECT

"Feel The Gap: Almost Fast" is a story set in the world of underground street racing and the ambition of young people to achieve their dreams at any cost.

The plot follows Javier, a young man who dreams of becoming a race car driver but whose life is marked by difficulties and bad decisions. After a car accident, Javier struggles to find his place in the world of racing while facing his inner demons and the consequences of his actions. Antonio and Claudia, a couple of young drivers also looking for their place in the racing world, cross paths with Javier. Both characters find themselves trapped in a competitive and dangerous environment, where friendship, betrayal, and the quest for success are ever-present. Together, they will need to learn how to work as a team if they want to achieve their goals.

The narrative unfolds in an urban context full of challenges, with scenes capturing the adrenaline of racing, the risks involved, and the pressure the characters feel to reach their goals. Amid all this, the emotional and physical cost of pursuing a dream becomes a central theme, showing how the characters fight not only on the track but also in their personal lives.

The story is a mix of action, drama, and reflection on the limits people are willing to go to in order to achieve their dreams, highlighting the thin line between passion and obsession.

This project is being developed by three students in their final year of the Audiovisual Communication degree: Pablo Salmerón, Alicia Tenor, and Manuel García.

Who We Are

We are a passionate audiovisual team aiming to bring an incredible story to life with our final degree project.

Currently, we are developing "Feel The Gap", a unique short film focused on the exciting world of car racing. With your support, we can finance key aspects of production, such as renting technical equipment, providing meals for the crew, post-production, and festival submissions.

Each member of our team is putting all their talent and effort into this project, but we need your help to take the final step and make it a reality.

Where Your Contributions Will Go

The funds will be allocated as follows:

• LIGHTING MATERIAL: 40% of the budget. This equipment will professionally illuminate interior locations and create the ideal atmosphere for the plot, playing with the colors red, orange, and green, which are used in the motor world to simulate traffic lights.

• CATERING: 30% of the budget, for the technical and artistic staff.

• PROPS AND FUEL: 30% of the budget.

Estimated Timeline

Pre-production for this short film started in September 2024.

Filming will begin in early February 2025 and finish by mid-March, with a total of 9 shooting days.

Editing will start at the end of March and finish by the end of May.

Rewards will begin to be delivered in June, once the project is presented to the faculty's tribunal.

Previous Experience

In mid-2024, we produced a short film for an Audiovisual Communication course. This short film received the highest grade, with honors.

All three of us—Manuel, Alicia, and Pablo—were involved in the production of this project.

To Conclude

We want to clarify that this short film is and will be our calling card for the professional world. The script, written by Pablo Salmerón, has been in development for over 2 years.

The budget listed on this page has been carefully studied for almost two months, ensuring a final price that is very tight to keep costs low while maintaining the highest level of professionalism from each team member. Initially, our budget was nearly four times what has been set now, so everything has been calculated and sacrificed to make this film a reality.

We would like to thank everyone in advance who supports this project. We are truly excited to have people help those who are just starting out in filmmaking.
