WHAT WE WILL DO WITH YOUR CONTRIBUTION
We only need to raise €20,000, and with your contribution, we can ensure the continuity and growth of a dream that started in 2005. The acquisition of our workspace. A place that has allowed the development of multiple projects to fight injustice and inequality, including VALIENTES, our latest project. An information and awareness documentary that addresses trafficking in human beings for sexual exploitation in Spain.
THE CHALLENGE
At the end of 2019, we signed a five-year purchase option for the premises, hoping to acquire the property for the association. This would provide us with security and stability, allowing us to continue dreaming about various long-term initiatives. Thanks to the rent-to-own agreement we signed, the monthly rent has been deducted from the purchase price, and combined with a generous contribution from the Cabildo of Tenerife, we believe it is possible. We only need to raise €20,000 from the initial €210,000! (We still can’t believe it.)
The challenge is urgent, as we have just two months left until the contract expires, and without help, we won’t make it. With your contribution, we can ensure the continuity and growth of an association that has influenced positively the lives of thousands of people in 19 years.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The dtproject location is found in a strategic area in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This location for social justice has become a reference point for art and solidarity, where thousands of people come each year to participate.
BACKGROUND
Five years ago, through this same platform, we launched a crowdfunding campaign to equip the premises where we currently operate from, the dtproject location. We dreamed of a place that would allow us to manage and enhance all the social initiatives we work with, focusing on the fight against injustice and inequality, centered around three main areas: poverty, refugees, and human trafficking.
This place also includes a space for collective participation and solidarity that promotes recycling and environmental care, called 2lives. It has become a significant showcase for the social justice projects and programs we have been involved in for nearly two decades.
In our location of over 800 m², we serve around 25,000 users annually, highlighting social issues and inviting our visitors to participate in solutions, offering courses and training, conducting activities, attending to and listening to those who come with various needs, welcoming and supporting volunteers. We also organize cooperation trips in other countries, preparing and sending humanitarian aid, and networking with national and international entities that share our concerns for those who suffer.
WHO WE ARE
dtproject is a non-profit established in 2005. We work to dignify those who daily face poverty, exclusion, exploitation, and persecution around the world, raising awareness of all forms of social injustice and inequality, fighting for the transformation of their living conditions.
Our mission is to share, convey, and unite efforts to develop multiple initiatives aimed at transforming the lives and situations of silenced and invisible people across the planet.
MANIFESTO
We recognize Jesus as our source of inspiration, as a reference in respect for the dignity of all people, and a model for action against injustice and inequality.
