Each pair is hand-embroidered with patterns inspired by the latest trends while preserving the essence of tatreez (traditional Jordanian and Palestinian embroidery), using high-quality materials such as durable canvas, supple leather, and sturdy rubber soles. Often, we'd create shoes, but each client has specific sizing needs and prefers particular patterns that may not always be readily available. Additionally, as our shoes are handmade, production takes time. However, by launching this campaign, we guarantee that you'll receive the** size and style you desire*. We understand that buying shoes online can be tricky, but fear not! We're here to guide you through every step, ensuring you find the perfect fit for you.

No matter where you reside globally, below is a sizing chart available for your convenience. Simply place your foot on a piece of paper, trace its outline with a pen, mark the farthest points, and measure the space between them. Once you've obtained the measurement in centimeters, refer to the table to determine the most suitable size for you.

If you cannot find an exact match, we suggest selecting the closest larger size and adjusting with insoles if needed.

Once you have made your contribution and we have reached our crowdfunding goal, we will send you the shoe catalogue via email or what's app and collect all the information about the style and size you desire. In case the crowdfunding has not reached its goal, your contribution will be fully refunded.

Each pair is handmade stitch by stitch, from the embroidery in Jordan to the assembly in Portugal. We're not machines – we're real people behind every pair :)

Allow us to shed light on why our process requires time. Once your order is placed, we await the campaign's conclusion to meet our target (otherwise, refunds are issued). From there, the embroidery process commences. Each order is then assigned to our artisans, who embroider multiple pairs by hand (each pair takes hours, even days, to be completed . After all pairs are embroidered, they undergo assembly in Portugal. This process is deliberate as we disrupt the old-fashioned model of mass production, prioritizing quality and sustainability over speed. We produce solely based on your orders and preferences, ensuring the longevity of both the quality and narrative of your shoes.

Gioia shoes are priced at 220 Euros to uphold our commitment to ethical production and social responsibility. Approximately 60% of the cost directly supports the skilled artisans, coordinators, supervisors, and designers involved in handcrafting your shoes, ensuring fair wages and dignified working conditions in Jordan and Portugal. Another 10% is dedicated to sourcing premium-quality materials, including eco-friendly alternatives where possible, to promote sustainable craftsmanship. Additionally, 9% covers the cost of shipping, ensuring your shoes are delivered to you promptly and responsibly. The remaining 21% is allocated for operational expenses, including creating content and storytelling about culture and heritage to raise awareness of what the region has to offer. With Gioia, your investment not only supports artisans and celebrates cultural heritage but also contributes to a more ethical and sustainable fashion industry.

While the shipping cost is incorporated into the overall price, please be aware that depending on your location, additional customs charges may apply.
